Voice Casting!

It's that time in the project to begin casting our leads! First on the bill is the part of Dante.

Dante is the leader of the mercs. He keeps the team close, either out of friendship or suspicion. Unbeknown to the other members of the team, Dante hand picks the missions due to some moral balance he feels he needs to uphold, indicating Dante is not just in it for the money. Dante is a secretive person, not revealing anything about his time before he became a mercenary. Dante and his team will from time to time do other jobs other than kill people. He is highly skilled and prefers to wield swords as opposed to disruptors.

What we're looking for is a male with a plausible or natural british/australian style accent. Preferably more on the baritone side, though if a good voice is found, that may be forfeit. We're looking for someone who sounds like they are no younger than their 20s, preferable age is 30s (though I highly doubt we'll find that). Must have your own recording equipment (ie mic and PC) and a place to record with minimal to no background noise. Please post or e-mail if interested. Include in your post or e-mail and audio sample of your voice.

Say if you need a voice actor. But I'm not the correct person for Dante. He may end up sounding Canadian.

oh, well, I've definitely been there before, except it was usually my brother who voiced everything

sorry if im necroing here, but why dont you look around dw and see if you can find anyone you know in your locality to play dante? Or meybe shem could look around in his area, id look for one myself but around here you wound't have many aussie blokes wanting to do sci-fi, and i doubt there s a role for me unless you want some horrible cross between aussie, american, with the occasional blocked nose, yea i know too much info

by british aussie do you mean someone who says can't: cah-nt and not: c-ant?

i usually outsource to people I know here, but here, well, we got generic north american accents, no European accents or anything. I personally don't know of anyone with accents in my area

well actually, if Shem had better quality audio, I quite liked his voice for the role, it seemed to fit well

so next step, shem get yourself to a recording studio, or buy something half professional

im not the one for voice casting, unless you want a character to sound like a 5-year-old kid.

I would voice act, but I don't have anything I could use to record. Kinda bad, since I meet most requirments.
