open source is a digital product which is (often) free, and the source code is freely available to help develop the product further. although free, it's often protected by EULA-s to prevent misuse and vandalism.

PS. you know what's slow? IE7. when you press the "stop loading page" button, it stops only after 10 seconds! so, that's mostly AFTER the page has finished loading. Mad
