Firefox 6 Empty Firefox 6

Post by Darkwing 2011-07-16, 15:14

This is getting worse than the Saw movies! Firefox 5 has only been out a couple weeks and Firefox already suddenly updated itself to FF6! I mean come on already! Stop release "new" version unless there is really a fair bit of new things. FF4, 5 and 6 have like no differences, except that there's less and less compatibility with each one, yet they've been pumping them out over the last month or two. I mean come on guys, take a break!

Laugh at me all you want, but I use IE. Honestly, I don't see why people hate it. IE 9 is great.

I useed Chrome for a while but ultimately, it just didn't do it for me. It had issues remembering things and letting me onto secured sites and the like

Mozilla made a conscious decision to have a faster release cycle like Chrome, although three months instead of the six weeks of their Google counterparts.

I'm gonna stick with 5 until something major happens. No reason to waste my time downloading another FF that is essentially the same as FF4.

FF 6= FF 4.3

Other than 4 being faster, I didn't notice a difference between 3 and 4

It was faster downloading pages and stuff like that but as a program, it was unstable when dealing with heavier content (like flash hd videos), and it took too long to start the program itself...

Well I use rockmelt... I hav no problems with it but my computer is kinda being constantly upgraded. So with 8Gb of RAM and a 2.8 Ghz processor I tend to not notice things being slow.

I do believe that Firefox on Linux sistems worked far better than on Windows and Mac sistems... Maybe because the developers of the browser used Linux to program it...

I use FF because Chrome runs slowly on my computer and sometimes even FF runs real slow. I've resorted to using Safari sometimes.
