The Drum & Bass/Dubstep Thread
Just post whatever suits your fancy
Feint - New Beginnings (VIP) by FeintDnB
The piano is fantastic, really like this track. And the build about 3 minutes in and everything afterward is simply beautiful. I just love everything that Feint produces.

Very nice, I like the piano aswell.

HELL YEAH!!! Prepare your ears to be dominated!
Note: I actually have just recently taken an interest in Dubstep. I don't like all of it, but some is pretty damn good. Cookie Monsta, he's just sick.
I'm more of a drum & bass and intelligent dance music guy.

Wobbly
Ever listen to Skrillex? His stuff is simply amazing.
no oh my god
Drop in this one is like brown noise.
But yeah. I like dnb more myself. It's just easier to enjoy. I find that I have to be in a specific state of mind to 'get' dubstep.

Re: The Drum & Bass/Dubstep Thread
Shit yes! Skrillex!!
But, I wasn't familiar with the last one there. Loved it though.
True about the state of mind. I usually listen to dubstep when I'm gaming or coding.
It's interesting, I can listen to dubstep, but I can't listen to IDM when coding.
I guess it's because some IDM takes a lot of concentration to appreciate. For example, listen to the Album "Empty the Bones of You" by Chris Clark.
I don't know if it's your taste, but it's one of those albums that you have to listen to sitting in your bed, propped up with a pillow, eyes closed, lights off, at 2:00 in the morning. It's a very dark, violent album. And yet, it's delicate, and beautiful at the same time.
I didn't appreciate Clark when I first started listening to him, but after a short while, I adjusted, and began to love his music. Now, Empty the Bones of You is my favorite album of all time. Hands down, no one can convince me otherwise.
But, if you want to try him out, I can't suggest jumping into Empty the Bones of You first. Try listening to this song first, and then go from there:
Probably his best contemporary work, and one of my favs. His style has changed a lot since his first album, ( the best one), but I still love his tunes.
I'm so glad that I ventured out of pop music a few years ago. There was so much I was missing.

Re: The Drum & Bass/Dubstep Thread
Damn, that was really good. Agree with you on the pop music part, with the caveat of pop music remixes and some genuinely good pop music (see: Lady Gaga)
And just cause it was the first real (dnb?) song that I liked. And the video is creepy and twisted.

Re: The Drum & Bass/Dubstep Thread
Yep, that song was how I was introduced to Aphex Twin. Amazing stuff right there.
As for my first introduction to DNB, IDK, I can't really remember. Essentially, Linkin Park introduced me to the mindset of less mainstream music. After hearing "Session" and "Cure for the Itch", I immediately started branching out to other type of music, rather than just staying in the rock genre.
And then I hit my Radiohead phase, which changed my view of music forever. After that, I branched out even more.

Re: The Drum & Bass/Dubstep Thread
LOL no. But, I'm sure there is one somewhere.
It's not dubstep, but there is a good rap mix:

Re: The Drum & Bass/Dubstep Thread
Remixes eh? Well here's a good one.
B.O.B - Airplanes (Feint Drum & Bass Remix) by FeintDnB
I hate the song normally but... dnb + Hayley Williams = I love it.

Britney!
Both are really good, though I'm extremely partial to the second one.
