Maybe there is no need for anything more complex.

I don't see your point, Lee. Moore's Law (the bit relevant to this) states that technology will increase exponentially, although not guaranteeable for the distant future.
However, my point isn't that there won't be something more advanced than a phone, but that it may be superfluous. Tables were created aaaages ago, but they haven't been replaced by something else. There's no need for anything more complex. Sure, you could have straps on it to hold diners close to the table or have it mutilayered, but people neither want nor need that.

Neural Implants, Ear piece with an HUD Contact Lenses...Ect ect.

Also an School Station, sounds like a mega huge waste of Billions of Credits, to simply hold a few thousand Students, It's Hugely more Economic to to make a Bunch of schools that hold a few hundred Children for a few hundred Thousands Credits.... And not be in Space.

Also... why are you writing as this Now much older guy is still a Six year old?

The entire story will not be all in his narrative point of view, its more of a description of the war from his eyes at the beggning of each chapter, then it goes in to actually have the battle, you will see, im adding to it now.
