Achievements Badges
Well, the staff and I came up with this cool concept the other day, in which we award members with various badges/awards for achievements accomplished on the forum. Basically, they're to reward good people There are a total of 5 badges, 3 of which are viewable in the member's profile and underneath their avvie in messages. On top of that, we add a larger version of the badge to your sig so it can be shown off all shiny like in all your messages.
However there's one problem. I've just noticed that suddenly, for some reason, the moment I hit save (or anyone for that matter) if you have a quote in your sig, the quote box will disappear and it will just look like the bbcode surrounding your text. Oddly enough, if one has a quote but does not edit and save their sig, the box stays intact, so I've sent off a ticket to FM to find out what's happening.
So I dunno if people want me adding the badges to their sigs or not at this moment. I will say, that the other quote code works fine, except that it doesn't display the name of the person who said it, so yeah.
Anyways, here's the badges and their descriptions:
Activity Award Given to members with constant activity and whose content is generally mature or productive, basically not spam to make your post count higher.
Ultimate User This is the most prestigious of the awards, given to all round good members of the community, those who do their absolute best to see that this forum remains a good place to be.
Developer's Award Given to people who try to help improve the forum by giving useful suggestions, or contributing to the overall mechanics of the forum and its content.
Creator's Award Given to people who start new topics that aren't spam topics or anything like that. For people who try to expand the content by creating new threads.
Endurance Award Given to members who actively and productively keep parts of the forum active that would normally die down. This does not mean they necro however or post useless topics in dead areas, but put an effort into maintaing the "lower" sections of the forum.
With that being said, don't ask for badges or awards, they're given to people whom the staff think deserve them.
