Badges give you special bonuses, like being able to talk to a planet when your reputation is 0 or less.

Nausica: Thaleron Test Facility - 89994 bars (Allows you to use the Thaleron weapon)
Tholia: Asteroid Miner Pass - 19989 bars (Allows you to mine asteroids anywhere without penalty)
Ferenginar: Asteroid Miner Pass - 20797 bars (Allows you to mine asteroids anywhere without penalty)
Vulcan: Public Protector Badge - 200523 bars (Raises prestige to 100 in all Independent systems)
Bajora: Planetary Access - 9990 bars (Allows you to hail planets if your prestige is less than 0)
Alpha Centauri: Planetary Access - 9990 bars (Allows you to hail planets if your prestige is less than 0)
Du'Qot: Klingon Holodisc - 700017 bars (Can only be bought once, raises prestige in all Klingon systems to 100)
Ferenginar: Trade Commission Pass - 300797 bars (Raises your negotiation skills to max)
