Re: Climate Shift?
The first world needs to reduce as well IMO, we all do, but remember, China has a limit to one child per household, so it's not like they aren't trying...ish. But still, they have as much right to have children as we do
Re: Climate Shift?
It's suprising how many people are allowed to have more than one child in China. Rural families, for example. China's population is still growing quite healthily. India is worse, with huge population pressure already. Sub-Saharan and Southern Africa is the worst though. In many African states, the TFR is over 6. It seems strange to be giving food to a country in famine, and at the same time that country's population is burgeoning.Darkwing wrote:The first world needs to reduce as well IMO, we all do, but remember, China has a limit to one child per household, so it's not like they aren't trying...ish. sorry, I tuned out after the blatant discrimination
I'm not trying to discriminate, it's just they on average have very large family's and well we simply cannot have people having large family i think the whole world should have a 2 child maximum, in places were overcrowding is a problem 1 child.
Shem and Jtull, i understand you can't put out a journel by yourself but if you can put your evidence foward to one credible scientists and they agree with it they would publish it on your behalf then they would listen. Yes my ideas are ideas most of them are imprascticle or inhumane, you know what is inhumane all of us dying because we want to protect people rights.

Like that moronic ''let's evacuate all the good middle easterners and nuke the entire middle east!!'' idea of yours? Yeah, anyone without a one digit IQ probably won't take your ideas seriously if they're all like that.
And no, they probably won't enter scientific circles. You know, to become an actual scientist, you have to spend decades upon decades learning and practicing your trade. No one, or at least incredibly (incredibly is an understatement actually) few can make and publish a theory with good grounding in real life that can be put into practice.

Re: Climate Shift?
Think about it this way, would you let someone who read a book on medicine operate on you? No? then in the same way no one unqualified can enter into the scientific community without the proper training.
Exception: stumbling upon a new facet of a scientific field with physical evidence.

Re: Climate Shift?
oh yea definitely for example if I stumbled upon a way to generate a stronger magnetic field. I would need to work hard to get a grant or spend my own money building the item or whatever to show the scientific community proof of concept.
Re: Climate Shift?
haha, australia dont suffer from overcrowding, a massive country less than 25 million people, nah the problem with india's population is i dont think anybody knows a feasible way to tackle the problem when there already 1 billion people, and with lots people theres also a fair amount of corruption, my uncle was drving around there when he 15 and the cops didnt care as long he slipped them a few rupees, dont forget the rupee isnt worth much either, think the aussie dollar is buyin bout 40 rupees at the moment
