Re: Windows vista problem
Hmm, 110GB is suspiciously large. Min is 10GB. I presume the Windows 7 on your Toshiba was preinstalled, otherwise I might have suggested a clean install.

Re: Windows vista problem
Or reset the computer to original settings with the back-up disk (should be 3 disks) that was made when the computer was first turned on.

Re: Windows vista problem
@Leach: Then you probably used a DVD rather than a CD. Although it may benefit you to check what you actually have
@Lee: Don't rush into anything. The computer is obviously still working, just you need more storage space. As DW said, get rid of temp files and such with something like CCleaner.

Re: Windows vista problem
Search through that directory for the supermassive file/s.
Also, don't forget to look at the hidden ones. (if you don't know how to do that, consult google)

Re: Windows vista problem
I've done some more research and the majority of people with the same problem said a re installation of the OS was required one problem im not sure we have vista disks and i never created a back up, but one hope is that my sisters laptop is vista so ill back up from her's and boot it on my dads

Re: Windows vista problem
Won't work, unless it's exactly the same model, since those restore disks have the drivers for the determined model pre installed...
You might, however see if the HDD has it's how recovery partition... If it's a Toshiba it should have, and it is an HP you can blindy order the recovery disks for your model, only paying those transport fee's...

Re: Windows vista problem
With HP you can actually even download them I do believe (I has an HP) and HP also has the recovery partition. Most PCs these days do I would assume

Re: Windows vista problem
The crappy ole PC downstairs is an emachines, and for the backup you had to create your own disks via some sort of wizard pre-installed with your system.
