Re: Philosophers corner
Well... If you just go with the flow, you'll end up being a mindless sheep, following lady gaga everywhere and thinking that transformers 1/2 are awesome movies and MW2 is the best game in existence, because every other moron says so.
And you know what shem does to mindless sheep...

My god... Just... Eww...
She's frikkin' hot with makeup on, but without... Graah...
Either that or they caught her in a really bad light.

No no, that's not normal, that's ugly.
But then again, that's a shot taken by a paparazzi, they do their best to make the celebrities look bad.

I'm not saying it's good looking, I'm saying she looks like an average middle aged woman that you might see walking around the street and not even notice because she doesn't look like a celebrity. I mean face it, normal isn't usually hot.

No surprise there, really. And if I'm being honest, those pictures must have been the worst ones out of a bunch, I'm sure.

Re: Philosophers corner
Paint.net is OK, it's nothing spectacular and only runs on Windows, but I won't have to bleach my mind if someone mentions it
Re: Philosophers corner
i've never used Paint Shop Pro, but that's Corel and you pay money for that so it's kinda out of this category
Re: Philosophers corner
Yeah... I don't know much more into this...
Picasa and Windows Live Picture Galery are more like photo albuns...
Oh I remember one! PhotoScape!

Re: Philosophers corner
Well, to keep on topic, let me ask you a question:
What you think of free software?
What you think of free software?
Re: Philosophers corner
if it works and is good I use it. I use Inkscape which is half decent vector software, I use CeltX for my scriptwriting both programs are pretty good programs
Re: Philosophers corner
Sure, but those programs aren't indicated for professional use...
I mostly think that free software is ideal for home use, but for professional use, the one that allows you to work better is the best...

Re: Philosophers corner

Re: Philosophers corner
why do some people enjoy the endless gore of video games, but when they see blood spurting out for real, they panic?

Re: Philosophers corner
Yeah, i doubt you'd keep your calm if you saw a guy get gutted in real life, but when it's in a game, its not real so it's not that bad.

Re: Philosophers corner
Personally, I think it'd be better to compare film gore to real life because (if done well) it can look extremely realistic as compared to VG gore which is so obviously fake that you can't even pretend to believe it
Re: Philosophers corner
Yep, modern graphics can't contend with the real deal, though it will get there some day. But even film gore can't be compared to the real thing. I mean, i watched Wolfman, and it was full of gore, but i never actually felt anything. I know it's not real. And it's the same with all the movies that have done it better than Wolfman.

Re: Philosophers corner
And only in movies when it's a really disgusting situation do I feel remotely uncomfortable in a movie. Scenes like this fit the bill.

I'm talking more like scenes where they do an autopsy or something and you see it all, that I find kinda disturbing
