Updates on Vacation
Soooooo, so far for my happy vacation (which I still have 1 and a half weeks left) I have done the following:
Helped cancel ELZ
Stress about what I should be doing
Stress about what I should be doing for my future
Come up with a bland and cliche plot for a not so great replacement for ELZ
Be bored
Use the Internet
Clean the house
Up next on the list:
Clean the basement
Mow the lawn.
My vacation can be done now please

Xbox 360/ PS3, those are the 2 things you need to remember when you're bored.

Re: Updates on Vacation
yeah, but they get boring fast too I find unfortunately. After playing for about 15 min, I'm good
Re: Updates on Vacation
Well, you probably don't have the right games. If you want a timesink/time black hole, CIV IV is the answer, or wait for CIV V, which i think will be alot more fun. It's frakking addictive... Just be sure you want to lose alot of time before even touching it, since it has no mercy on your time.

Re: Updates on Vacation
'll take your word for it, but I really don't find gaming that interesting, or at least captivating enough to hold me for any great length of time
Re: Updates on Vacation
Civ IV will utterly annihilate your time. It's like they took crack cocaine and added a shitload of other drugs, then put it on a CD.

Re: Updates on Vacation
Oh yes! The most elaborate plot possible!

Bonus points if you can fit the tractor and a cow into your plot.

I'm sure they'll end up in it somewhere, except a cow may be difficult, I don't know where the closest dairy farm is around here

Yes! Come to the USA! I will introduce you to American soda and Totino's pizza rolls!
Re: Updates on Vacation
I'd invite you to sweden if you weren't so spinky. We need manly men to work on the polar bear farm and occasionaly fend off polar bear attacks when going out...
Seriously though, it's summer. I don't know what you have in the valley, but i bet there's a crapload of fun stuff you can do outside. If you get some vacation, go swimming or something, as long as it's outside.

DW, you can become a lifeguard. Guard lives and stuff. Save bratty kids from drowning!

Re: Updates on Vacation
Actually, if it's at an outdoor pool, you won't really be saving anyone... From what i've seen, all you do is sit with hot chicks in the sun and every hour or so go to the pool and tell people not to hang on the line separating the tracks... All while getting paid. It's probably as awesome as it sounds.

Re: Updates on Vacation
Generally, you're getting paid to just be an asshole; if they're having fun, they're probably doing something they shouldn't be doing.
Then there's the kids who don't have floaties and can't swim, so they naturally go to the deep end and start to "drown" and then you actually have to "save" them

Re: Updates on Vacation
Not really, at least not here. We have 3 pools, one for the swimmers, one for the kids and one for the babies. The baby pool is so shallow that my foot wouldn't be completely submerged if i stood in it, the medium one is up to the waist, and the big one is all the way up to the neck at the deep end (1,8m), and the waist at the shallow end.
Kids aren't allowed to go beyond the shallow end of the deep pool unless it's swimming class and there's a teacher watching.

Re: Updates on Vacation
Darn. You sure do have a shallow (gene) pool.
Beach lifeguarding is better, because you can do things, and there will be more staff than just you and a guy called Edwin.
