[M]Articles and Recomended articles
Let's start with one very (VERY) controversial subject. Rapelay... In most westerns opinion, it is one of the most disgusting pieces of media ever created. However. They are wrong. There are many rape eroges on the japanese market. Some even more disgusting than Rapelay. It is a part of their culture. However, these games have never been accesable in western markets. Untill this very game showed up on amazon for a few days. It was however shot down very quickly and created a gigantic public backlash.
I can understand why everyone was so offended by it, and why everyone now wants to ban it. I mean, the game's story is sick. Just... Sick. But you have to search for the word ''Rape'' on amazon to understand the real message behind this whole thing, and what everyone who is angry about it is thinking. There are craploads of books with some seriously disturbing plots out there. Hell, you can probably find a few at normal bookstores and maybe even libraries. This is about the medium it's on. Video games are seen as a children's toy, while books are seen as something only adults use. Anyways, i've got stuff to do, and this summary is getting really long. So here's the article, it's definitely worth reading.

I dunno. Japan is weird in many ways, fair enough. But people who buy that sort of stuff in Western society should be monitored. Aren't they the most likely to go on and do a sex-related crime?

Re: [M]Articles and Recomended articles
Not really... Japan has managed to keep down their sex crime statistic, likely because of games like this. Yes, the people who play them are sick, and they're very likely to have rape fantasies, but games like this should act as a vault for their fantasies, so they don't take it out on real people.
Actually, Japan, the place with the biggest amount of games like this is at the bottom of the list of rapes commited, while canada is at the top.
It would be preferable to have these people sent in for mental treatment, but the law in most nations says that they have to commit a crime before you can force them to get mental treatment. So i guess this is the lesser of two evils...

Re: [M]Articles and Recomended articles
Yeah... It is quite frakked up. But do you think it should be banned?
Also, it's sad that CNN are so unimaginative that they take an alredy badly beaten 2006 topic and try to make it seem new again...

Re: [M]Articles and Recomended articles
Well, seriously, this is a tough thing to have an opinion about. It's all about maintaining perspective on the situation. Ideally i wouldn't agree with the allowance of rape or anything like that. But you bring up about books and I'll go one step further. There was a movie that came out a while ago (Last House on the Left) and in it was a rape scene, where a guy rapes I believe a teenage girl. They show the whole thing too and it was quite disturbing (the timing of my cinema check had to be at that scene too so I saw it). Ayways, the film was rated 18A, so only 18 year olds or older were allowed in. However, with an 18A film, people between the age of 14 and 17 can see it too as long as they have an 18 year old or older to accompany them. In my opinion, that film should have gotten the rare R rating, allowing only 18 years or older in to see that film. So to ban the games, but allow the movies seems hypocritical, not that I'm condoning the allowance of these games. I personally would have preferred it not to be in the film as well.
However, something that I've always observed in human nature is that when you tell someone they can't or are not allowed to do something, they try to do it. Take speeding for example. Here, people speed like crazy because we're not allowed to, so it makes it rebellious and like sticking it to the man. In Germany, they have that place where they can go as fast as they like. There are fewer car accidents there then there are here in little ol rural nova scotia. Why? I think because in Germany, they're allowed to speed, so everyone is more cautious and it takes away the rebel factor. I think that's why there are fewer sex crimes in Japan is because they are allowed to indulge themselves using safe mediums.
And then in North America, to not allow it because it is wrong, dirty, bad for publicity or whatever the reason, they got to see that they have a lot of crime, poverty, homelessness and all kinds of yucky stuff they shove under the carpet and ignore and then pretend like having rape games is some huge deal when they have real problems that they are trying to hide from.

When you've written a horror novel made up of dong jokes and other dong related humor, you're awesome. You might also be slightly gay. David wong has done that. God i want that book...
Anyways, here's a non dong related article written by david wong. Terra, since you get pissed so easily, you might want to skip this one, it bashes furries and pagans (the furries deserved it though. Seriously, Nazi fur? What the hell?). But everyone else, read it. NAO.

and she's wicken, so that's probably even less reason for her to read it if it is saying things against the pagans

Policemen here now have 20 days extra off a year if they are pagan, so they can attend religious festivals.

If you're wondering why twilight is so bad, this guy gives you a pretty good idea.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/moviebob/7779-The-Problem-With-Twilight
And why the hell someone reads something so incredibly morally backwards for anywhere in the west except the american deep south and maybe skåne (sweden's most heavily inbred retard populated region)? Well, this is why. It's basicly softcore porn for chicks.
And that, is the problem with twilight.
