It's a Beautiful Day
Sorry for the Twitter like post, but I just felt like saying that it's a very beautiful day and I am happy for the first time in a month! So, happy good day everybody! (No negativity will be tolerated in this thread. Failure to comply will result in execution)
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Yeah, the weather is getting better here, i prefer the winter though... The snow makes everything look better. And the spring here is really, really random.
And couldn't you have used the general chat thread?

OH MY GOD!!!! HE'S HAPPY!!!! It's the beginning of the apocalypse!!! AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
...just kidding. I agree, it's really nice out. Birds are singing, ELZ is making some really good progress, I still have very little of a life...I think I'll get out on the bike and go across the Industrial park to the town next door.

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Ya its nice out side. It would be nicer if I slept last night. Ans on the note of drugs, i consumed 2/3 of the LD50 for caffine last night. What scary is that i could have gone over the LD-50 with what i have in my stock pile.

ya, what scares the shit out of me is that if i hadn't talked to my friend, i would have kept consuming. I had enough to OD on caffeine. (for my body size).

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
I do believe I shall go out and take some pictures and videos today and show you guys the fields and orchards. It's also a double motive as I'm toying with a small film idea for the fields, so I wanna see how well they record
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Wait... DW running around in fields of flowers and orchards... And being happy for non science fiction related reasons... AND for prolonged lenghts of time?
*Looks outside and sees squadrons of flying pigs harrasing people, god walking around and Adama standing outside his house*
Yeah... We're screwed...

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Weeee, the end is upon us, so enjoy it Oh, and there's no flowers, just grass and apple orchards and pretty much complete privacy. If I was the GF type, it would actually be the perfect romance spot, especially at sunset. If you're t the highest field and the sun is setting, you can see the whole valley and it is soooo beautiful
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Here's some pics. Haven't got the greatest camera in the world, but yeah. These fields are cool because you go from my house and basically walk up straight and there's orchards and when you get to the top, you can see the valley. Tomorrow I wanna get sunset when it looks orange and purple and whatnot, it's very nice
Once you get up about 3/4 of the fields, there's a hidden path in which there is a side field which is MASSIVE!!! It's my favourite as it's completely surrounded by trees and you are completely alone there. This is the path and the side field

Where do you live DW? Here in Toronto it's 21 degress, after a snow-free record breaking March!
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Same for all across Canada. I'm from NS. Nice to see another Canuckian here!
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
"Canuckian" (yea I know what you mean)
Not to swerve offtopic but, all the snow landed in the US. 740 flights cancelled....saw on CP24 News Channel.

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Heyyyy!
Well, this day was certainly awesome. I got out, worked off that pizza and sandwich I ate by riding the industrial park road, found out my mom's ten year old gateway runs faster than her 6 year old dell... (another dell fail!) ...life's good

DW, do you own those fields? Because if you do, why haven't you put sheep on it?

Aren't those the fields behind your house? (Sorry to sound creepy)
@ Shem
LOL BTW, they had to kill all of the sheep in Canada because they tried to take over.

Yes, I'm sure I mentioned that somewhere around here, but guess not. And no, we don't own them, we rent from the people who do and they let us have free reign over the acres of fields they have. They're very good for frisbee

You rent fields for no economic use?

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
no, I we rent the house which is on their farm which has fields (it's a fruit and vegetable farm) and we're allowed free reign over the territory
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Yeah, I know some people that do the same thing. It must be nice living in the middle of nowhere. No gangs and stuff.
Bah, I'll take a picture here in a little while. (I just got up from a 5 hour nap, and I'm extremely hungry.)Shemuel wrote:Dang! A country without culture!

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
I might take a picture. IN Toronto, the snows all gone. We had a snow free March and a very warm winter Didn't go past -10!
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
@ DJ Don't you live in the surburbs?
And yeah, it's great living in the middle of nowhere. Or, well, maybe not nowhere, i'm basicly at the center of town, but there are plenty of empty, green areas outside of town. We live quite close (a few minutes with a bike) to a lake. There's an outdoor recreational area (some swimming pools, a small empty grass area and a restaurant plus changing rooms and showers), and the area around it is often full of people. But if you go along the edge of the lake for a few minutes, there are some really nice empty areas with a great view of the lake. And we also have lots of fields, farms and orchards here in vallentuna, you just need to take the bike out for a little exploration to find them.
Actually, i might start taking pictures too. I'll have to wait for the summer though, that's when vallentuna really shines.

I live in the country almost. I live in a small village, and the only thing that you can see around you is sheep in fields, and roads letting people leave.

It's kinda funny how no matter where you are (country, suburbs, urban, rural), people always have computers...
Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Yeah, they seem to have become a requirement for normal life.
And I would take a picture of where I live, if google hadnt already put my entire town on the 360 pictures thing.

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Here are some of the more well known sights of vallentuna.
Vallentuna church, built in the 13th century.
Väsby mill, from the 13th century too i think. Some asshole burnt it down. Hopefully, his own asshole was treated with the pear of anguish for destroying something as important as Väsby mill. It's highly unlikely because of these ridicilous ''human rights'', but hey, one can dream.
And a house on the other side of the street from my house. I see it every day on my way to school.

Opel here is Vauxhall. Identical cars - I have a Vauxhall, but the manual is for an Opel. That's because GM ate both Vauxhall and Opel.

Strange... I've never seen any cars of the Vauxhall brand. Guess they didn't get into the swedish market.

Re: It's a Beautiful Day
Unfortunately, no I don't live in the suburbs. I live in a little residential area just past the edge of the "10th street hood", as we call it. My neighbors get robbed every now and then, 2 of my former neighbors did and dealt drugs, and one of them had a meth lab in it. My stop sign it graffitied, and so are all of the other ones on the street. One of my neighbor's fences has been graffitied and painted over so many times he might as well get a new fence. A bar is just 2 blocks away and around the corner, and ghetto apartments are just around my culdesac. I hear gunfire on average once every 2 days, a police chopper flies over my house at least twice a week, and I hear drag races every day at around 1:00 A.M (You don't even notice them after a while)Thingy wrote:@ DJ Don't you live in the surburbs?

But, it's funny, because my street, and on northward, is actually pretty nice. It's just what's south of it that's not so nice.
There are plenty of trees, and lake overholser isn't too far away. Aww... the lake...Good fishing, running, and the view is spectacular! Especially during the sunset! ... or when a good looking woman runs by. LOL
BTW, it's not as bad as you think. I actually like it a lot. Plus, the gangs aren't too bad. They're just LA wannabes.
At least I don't live on the southside, now THAT would be bad. (Terrible drug trafficking/gang activity)
It sounds nice where you live, maybe I should move in with you? LOL
WOW! You live that close to your school?Mr.Borg wrote:hehehe.
