yeah, for one, hockey was invented in canada (no matter what the americans tell you, cause they are quite wrong) and hockey is the canadian sport, despite the fact our legal national sport is lacrosse (nobody cares about that either) hockey's our game

very primitive forms of skating and shooting something was invented in the netherlands a very long time ago, but the sport as it's known today was invented in Canada. The Netherlands one didn't exactly have rules from what I can tell, and is kind of a stretch to actually call hockey

i only watch olympics, i'm not much of a sport person, except for the winter olympics, though I've been at work every hockey game, so I missed the one where apparently Crosby made this amazing goal on the Swiss goaly

Actually, you americans are so fat that you're starting to evolve again. There was a report that said brown fat production (brown fat's purpose is to burn the other fat) in americans was reaching record heights. I'll try to dig up the article.

Or, actually, i'm not sure if it said exclusively americans, but it's likely that it's mostly in america since there are alot more fat americans than europeans, asians etc.

WHAT AN AMAZING GAME!!!! I was at work and I managed to find some internet signal and I caught most of the last period plus the OT, and I saw Crosby's goal. It was amazing!!!! I went down and told all the patrons in the cinema that we won. Apparently the city streets all around Canada were full of cheering people tonight. Aw man, good ol Canada, has her flaws, but still a great country all around i suppose. Man, I'm pumped and in a super good mood!
