some disk stop it aswell

it really is the world most useless operating system

yeah, i'm on about attempt 34 to boot up now, it goes through this if things aren't done normally as in every day

i think microsoft have been updating it or something as every time i turn off i have to wait 25 minutes for updates to install

yea ive had 4 updates this weel

...Updates? Maybe that's the reason you all have problems. I turned off Automatic Updates the moment I got my laptop.

my computer didn't update for almost two years and was fine until only about four to five months ago

And why? Security? Windows security has more holes than Swiss cheese. I use freeware firewalls and spyware/virus programs. There is no reason for me to "upgrade."

i cant argue with you there alka but id rather have more bad security aswell

no but an upgrade means it will run smoother and quicker

with windows all there upgrades do is spy on you and fill you ram
