Re: Judge bans Microsoft Word... ...!!!
Now, that's weird... is everyone trying to punish MS? Why don't they try to do sae thing to adobe or any other company?
Re: Judge bans Microsoft Word... ...!!!
Probably because they don't get up people's noses as much as microsoft does.

Re: Judge bans Microsoft Word... ...!!!
what?! that's stupid, completely freaking stupid. Whoever made that company should be burnt alive, how the hell can you make a patent for manipulating documents?! That puts them in a position to sue anyone who makes a program for editing or creating text documents.

yes, and gaming. A guy issued a patent for a ton of words, and keeps suing all the independent game developers for royalties. And the only reason he keeps getting that money is because he has tons of it, and they have almost none because of all the costs they had while making the game.

heh heh, stupid microsoft. i noticed that, microsoft has been doing that. as for adobe, well, at least adobe programs work.
Re: Judge bans Microsoft Word... ...!!!
adobe programs work but they dont run smoothly they lock up all the time, and cost three times more

thought I'd add there are faster, less bloated alternatives to adobe reader, eg. Foxit, and of course there are (less successful) alternatives to photoshop. But they have you over a barrel with MX,cs3 & cs4

Re: Judge bans Microsoft Word... ...!!!
i use pages! and for adobe, despite extremely overpriced, most of their programs don't compare to anything else on the market, at least not yet. You have to remember the adobe programs are designed for industry professionals who use the programs for a living thus being able to afford them. adobe doesn't really market to the average joe
