Well, I have a 256mb RAM Dell desktop (>_> I know...,) but am currently using an upgraded HP laptop. 1.3GB RAM.

Linux- Good, but... COMPATIBILITY ISSUES

Mac- Linux to a lesser degree, but my school has given me a somewhat bad impression of them. At least they don't have viruses.

Windows- Meh. Can't really say anything good or bad, because I'm using one. Bias,sorry.
