Earth Link Zero test for Toa

I made this today for you in my 3d program. What do you think:

and what is it exactly? is it a model, a light, material etc

It's actually a fire effect. I dont know if your program has that sort of thing or not, but I created the Earth-Link using an atmospheric fire effect.

well, it doesn't have a fire effect, but you can create fire using particle sprites in my program. i think i'll give it a try with a particle effect now. i just tried a lesn flare option for it, but i personally don't like it

How about you show me what you got so far? I wouldnt mind taking a look.

yeah, im rendering the lens flare one right now

ok here it is, but i've just had an idea. i'm going to play with the different types of light to see how that effects the lens flare

the problem is, there's no other angles for it like that. it will look like that at every angle, but i'm trying something now with using directional lights

Ah, ok. Well that still looks great. Honestly, better than mine!

here's an animation of a roughly 180 degree arc around the wormhole. unfortunately, there are no other objects so you can't judge movement

Now that I see it it looks more like a warp flash rather than a wormhole, but that does look really cool!
