There's a whole bunch of series that are generally better than CNC. Like the Total War series. I've found that CNC mostly comes down to mixing a bunch of unit and sending them at your enemy, then taking your enemies bunch of units, and then repeating it all over again.
CNC Red Alert was awesome though. Lots of memories with that game... I think it was my first proper strategy game.

And that's not to mention the civ series, that thing is an ageless classic, and it's been getting better for every game since the very first one.

I do admit i like the civ games and i have never played any total war games, also i only really play red alert and kanes wrath the others are a but dissapointing especially C&C4 it lacks the major elements of a RTS
