I lost my old media player when i had to erase the hard drive. Any suggestions on a new one? and i know, i have the standard media player but it just wont do it

foobar or winamp. both free.

foobar for the memory usage and fancy things you can do with it(it'll never reach 20M, not even when running weeks on end)
winamp for the eyecandy, and it's easier, but it has less fancy options, tools etc

foobar is nice and simple, does everything quickly. But it's all down to personal choice.

I'm not really all that experienced with Media Players. I basically go with whatever works and just stick with it.

I just use VLC like Alka.

It play most filetypes.

I'm afraid it's just too big for my computer to handle properly. the smallest zip package for it is 13.2 MB!

actually there was one on psp-hacks that was decent lke utorent and vuze but it downloaded viruses and i dont have a mac but it was twice as good as media player
