Awesome isn't it?
Oh, and I know you're jealous that I have that cool looking thingy on the upper right hand corner.
If you want me to show you how to get it and configure it, just ask.
Also, I created the wallpaper myself.
Well... I just modified the colors from someone else's work. LOL!
But hey, there still was effort involved!

I thought you still used Windows 98!
Sorry, that's can't compete with the eye candy of ubuntu.

Re: My Awesome Desktop
Well it looks OK, but I wouldn't have it. It's like one of those cars from Pimp My Ride - been made to look awesome, just you wouldn't want to actually drive it

Re: My Awesome Desktop
Tell me please, why you think that.
If it has to do with the thingy on the right, that's too bad!
I like that thingy!
Oh, and I spent 2 hours in it's configuration files! LOL!
But, if you mean Ubuntu in general, you have real problems man.
Also, even with all of my eye candy, my computer is still freakin fast in Ubuntu.

No, I meant the thing on the right. Just too technical for me. I don't need to know the SWP and the HD IO until it crashes.

So?
I like it because when someone comes and looks at my computer, they are blown away by things that they don't know about, and that in effect makes me appear more intelligent in their eyes.
Really, it works.
I had one of my friends over, Luke.
And well, he's one of those people that only knows Windows. If you said Linux, he would have the most pathetic puzzled look on his face. LOL!
Anyways, when he saw Ubuntu, the first question was,
"Is that Vista?"
NO!
"Woah dude, how did you do that?"
Compiz
"What's that?"
It's eye candy software for Linux Ubuntu.
*Puzzled look from Luke*

Soon after, I filled his mind with Ubuntu brainwashing info.
Such fun!

Re: My Awesome Desktop
Oh, I get bad looks all of the time.
I think my mother is really getting worried about me. LOL!
Actually, most of the time I like to keep my computer knowledge unknown.
When I'm out in pubic with my friends, or at home, I usually use ghetto talk.
That means using a hick accent or black accent from time to time.
I'm a lot of fun, I know!

Re: My Awesome Desktop
Come to think of it, I really don't have any idea!
I'll guess...
At least 2 hours a day?
Sometimes 8?
And sometimes I don't even get on the computer at all.

It's easier for me to accept. LOL!

Stop bragging, you slightly-more-intelligent version of Jtull! And I'm not jealous of your name and a green dude in the upper right hand corner of your desktop.
