Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Enlist here to become a member of the SGC! State your name, your rank (please don't all by Colonels). Also state your specialty. (Doesn't have to be fancy, could be as simple as military, ancient religions etc)
Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Hmm, I'll give it a shot. Seeing as I've roleplayed in a group called SG-8 for a while, I should know what I'm doing:
Title: Major Ivan Dmitriev
Occupation: Archaeologist
Skills: Archeology of Asia & the Middle East, History of the World, Languages (knows 20 different languages and dialects), and Aircraft Piloting (Su-35, MiG-29, Su-30, Su-34, Su-24, MiG-25, Ka-52, Ka-50, Ka-60, & MiG-31). He also has Survival Skills knowledge and a good deal of knowledge on the engineering aspects of the Stargate.
His interest in archeology came from his studies into the Russian Stargate shortly after they had discovered it. Before then, he had worked on various archaeological finds across Asia and the Middle East, in which at one point he discovered a frozen Goa'uld within a small jar found buried in India. He shared his findings with his fellow workers before the KGB - still in existence, though working in total secrecy like the USA's NID - found him at his home one night and forced him to withdraw his findings and turn the artifact over. Ivan did claim the symbiont was nothing but another sculpture within the jar, but he didn't turn it over to the KGB, instead heading straight to his old commanding officer in the Russian Air Force (Ivan had previously been an officer there, and had reached the rank of Captain there) and showing his findings to him. He was sworn to secrecy and shown the Stargate project there. He accepted an offer to rejoin the Russian Air Force with his previous rank of Captain.
Ivan was a Russian that originally came to the US Stargate program when he moved the the United States, being selected as a representative of the Russians. As most of the Americans on the base were generally distrusting of him, it came as no surprise when he was blamed for a crime he didn't commit: the murder of First Lieutenant Kevin Norman. Thankfully, Ivan managed to prove that another Russian on the base had committed the murder, clearing his name of the crime and earning some respect from the command division of the SGC. Ivan worked in the SGC and with Russian SG teams for over three years, finally deciding to settle out of his Russian employment and become an official member of SGC with a promotion to Major.
Ivan had lost his fiance when the Russian Stargate program became compromised years ago. This has left Ivan bitter with the current Commander of the Russian Air Force, who was in command at the time of the incident. Ivan had become more serious during duty as a result, but he often would use witticism and sardonic humor as a cover-up of negative emotion.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Title: Colonel Mark Cannon
Ocuppation: Tactics and alien devices
Skills/Story: Works with all the known deadly devices with ease (including alien ones), it has the ATA Gene naturally and it can use it as good as both Shepperd and O'Neil... He takes always his laptop with him, and he can hack into a common Ha'tak in less than 15 seconds (Is this ubering?) using a program designed by Carter... It is also a skilled pilot, having piloted once in defence of Earth against a Wraith attack... It's 302 was downed and he spent months in recovery, like his hero: Colonel Mitchel... He used to flight as a co-pilot during the 2nd Iraqui War, being promoted and retransfered to SGC before that strike, being in it's first combat situation with Shepperd fighting an Wraith Dart wing...
Weapon: M-4 with a granade launcher M-203, laser sight, flashlight and an optical zoom telescope capable of zooming up to 4 times. Always with 4 grenades for the 203 and a few hand grenades, C-4 (obvious), Sidearm, and a knife.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Captain Michael "Psycho" Sykes
Specialty: Melee combat, ranged combat (short-long), Demolition.
Bio: Not much known as it is highly classified, but like Lieutenant Lee, was and in a sense still is a former SAS member. He Joined the American Delta Force after something crash landed on Earth, and joined in recovering the alien artifact from the Koreans with the US Marines, since the SAS was busy doing nothing. The rest of that mission which got him into the SGC is classified and the disappearance of half the Korean army, a few thousand unidentified creatures, a frozen tropical island and an entire American naval fleet ripped to shreds is dubbed as "Just a coincidence".Now waiting to be assigned to an SG team.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Lieutenant James Steel
Specialty: Technology, Long Range Scout
Bio: Lieutenant James Steel was originally a member of a classified program that had a cataclysmic end due to a *classified*. After the traumatic end to the program, and James holding classified knowledge, the Air Force decided the best way to keep him quiet it to give him a promotion and send him over to a hidden bunker for another job; SG-1. James uses his gifted mind to fix, work, and develop new technology. He also has some expertise in scouting.

Name: Lt. Colonel Analise Sharp
Specialty: Tactics, Hand-to-Hand combat, Small Weaponry, Recon
Analise Sharp participated in a recon of a unknown planet that was located through use of one the the Star Gates. The mission itself was simple: Explore the planet and report any findings of life. Before her group was even 5 minutes into the mission, they were ambushed and the rest of her team was killed. Analise barely made it out alive, and has been waiting reassignment.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
ok well I shall join in this one.
Name : Doctor James Harkswell
specialty: experimental physics and temporal mechanics. also makes various gagets for the fun of it.
Bio: got bored of working in a lab and decided to be more out going and signed up for SGC. also has a very strange taste in clothing. will wear over coats where ever possible. (ususualy wears a tan trench coat. (btw I actually do this my self so it is kinda my personal taste.) ) can be very enthusiastic when there is something scienctificly right on the edge or finds a new kind of tech. other than that is a very calculated person but trys some things just for the hell of it. also has a mildly absant minded trait. so will sometimes walk off in the wrong direction or forget something he just did.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Corporal William Kern
Speciality: General Combat and heavy weaponry support.
Bio: Kern was a member of the British paramilitary for a number of years, serving in Ireland during the late 80's and early 90's. His time in Ireland 'toughened him up' to the man he is today, a soldier of Elite capacities that get's the job done. He has been noted as unruly, though quiet, which has stunted his climb up the ranks. He has served in most British Elite forces such as the Royal Marine Commandos and The Parachute Regiment. His last assignment was in Afghanistan, before he was withdrawn and 'loaned' to the USAF for use in the SG program.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Okay, I'm willing to try this, and hopefully redeem myself.
Captain Julius William Matzko
Skills: Demolitions Expert, Fighter Pilot, Engineer
Bio: Julius Matzko comes from a long line of fighter pilots. His skills in the cockpit are extraordinary, and many a time he has landed a fighter that should legally be declared scrap. After the Wraith attack, Julius attempted to convince the high officials that his fighter designs were worthwhile. He failed, and was assigned to the SGC with orders to "Be useful. And don't even think of trying to convince your superiors to let you make new fighters, cause it just won't happen." However, he was allowed to use his XP-250 Fjopingouin as his personal fighter.
After his reassignment, he was placed under the care of Meera Syal, the leading Demolitions Expert. She taught him everything he knows about charges, grenades, bombs, RPGs, Mortars, and Rocket Launchers. Eventually, she died in battle, and he swore to put his demolition skills to good use.

Re: Enlist in the SGC for an Exciting Career!
Forum Name: Leach54
Leach, ensign, Long range weapons
Cant remember much about My childhood or where he is from. at an early age he learned to shoot a bow (found in the ruble of a battle torn city). after that I built some other weapons. A ship came in and found him on an abandon planet all alone (all records of the planet were lost. Estimated to be 15 at this point and lived 4 years alone). I was very scared of the man but he took me in. They ran into some enemy ships. He was kidnapped from the ship. His captures took him to their home planet. He was made a slave. He found some materials and built a primitive slingshot. At a distance of about 50 yards he nails a guard in the head. Another shot him quickly with a taser. They then enlisted him in training. he was still under watch and the others didn't like him. At age 21 he was a beyond expert marksmen. he then proceed to master space long range weapons. at 25 he was liberated by earth. he then enlisted in the Stargate program.
Please tell me if anything needs to change.
