Favorite Sci-fi Movie

Ok, we've heard before what your favoirte star wars and star trek shows are, but what is you all time favorite Sci-fi Movie?

hard to say...
Terminator is good..then so is the Matrix.and loads of others.

My favorites:

Independence Day
A whole bunch of others.

Sci-Fi. Hmm. I like Independence Day, Matrix {all}, War of the Worlds, and others.

ID4, Matrix, Star Trek: Nemesis, Stargate, Stargate: Continuum, War of the Worlds... And we're in a sci-fi forum, so, that is supposed to be a very complicated answer...

Yeah, I like Independence Day, Matrix, the Stargate films (especially Continuum!), most of the Star Trek films, War of the Worlds (Steven Spielberg's version)...

But I also like movies such as The Island, the Animatrix (parts of it, anyways), Ghost in the Shell, and Blade (all three films... no, not blade runner, but blade, the vampire/sci-fi flick!)

All time favorites? Well, my all-time favorite sci-fi scene would have to be Neo vs. the thousands of Agent Smiths in Matrix Revolutions, or when Agent Smith takes over the Oracle in the same film. So that would probably be my favorite film of all. But it's very hard to rank it alongside Ghost in the Shell and Blade (since both had a number of awesome scenes: in Ghost in the Shell, when the female cyborg is created; in Blade, the nightclub scene at the beginning with Crystal Method's Blood Rave playing... and Blade's battle with the vamps there)

Darn it, it is hard to pick my absolute favorite sci-fi film then! XD

1 - Matrix (The one and only)
2 - Stargate (Original 1994 movie)
3 - Aeon Flux
4 - Star Trek II (Wrath of KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!)
5 - Star Trek VI (The Undiscovered Country)

I like those star treks. The only movie i havent seen on that list is Aeon Flux.I like al the others.

i like alot of scifi movies for their individual characteristics i don't have a favorite because i like each especially for its uniqueness. Like i like Matrix's theme and mood set in the movie. Some are fun for their overall action.etc..

I loved the matrix.
Its strange how many people find its plot confusing.
The only film which lost me with its plot was the third pirates of the carribean.

The new Star Trek movie is officially my all-time favorite sci-fi movie.

Yeah, that was good.Unlike the most recent ones, it actually followed TOS way of doing things, because it actually had humour in it.

i liked revenge of the fallen. it was entertaining. if you go to watch it just to have a chuckle and watch robots fight then its pretty good. it's also good if you're tired, i don't know, i just thought it was fun to watch.

I like Stargate and the Matrix... the Terminator was pretty kick-donkey too. I also liked Revenge of the Fallen.
