My Poems
As requested, I will post any poems I come up with here.
Here is the one you have already read
Voices
Terra Nova
----------------------------------------
I hear voices, I hear sound
I listen to my voices, because I'm bound
When we speak, we go around
And we stop, there is no ground
They tell me stories, and give me power
They bicker and fight, and I watch from a tower
Some talk sweet, some speak sour
When I yell. some of them cower
I listen in, when I'm alone
I speak with them, in a respectful tone
They know my sins, for which I atone
But they are only voices, which I hear alone
They keep me company, when no one else will
They speak truthfully, but only I think they are real
They know things, and boast about it with a squeal
But I know that they are real
You may think I'm crazy, or slightly insane
But you do not know me, so I seem sane
When you let your guard down, I will be your bane
Because my voices tell me to be Cain
Here is the one you have already read

Re: My Poems
This poem is not by me, but it is a good poem nonetheless.
THE FOUR HORSES OF THE APOCALYPSE
"And I saw one as a lamb
Opening the seven seals,
With a voice as thunder peals
Over the tempestuous skies!
Four horsemen riding against the stormy wind,
Galloping to war amid thunder and lightening,
Horses with fire in their eyes and nostrils flaring,
Snorting and neighing the battle to win.
A majestic white horse took on the lead,
And the rider was a mighty King,
A crown of glory was placed upon his head
Arrayed in white garments and a bow in his hand.
From a battlefield emerged a fiery red horse,
And the rider was given the power
To make war with a great sword,
And cause men to slay one another.
A black horse arose galloping from the pit of darkness,
And the rider held a pair of scales in his hand
To measure a quart of wheat and barley for a day's wages
But hurt not the oil and the wine, was the command.
Spewed from the grave, a pale horse lunged forth,
And the rider was the bones of death;
Hell followed after him, killing with the sword,
With hunger and with the wild beasts of Earth.
I saw the faithful souls of the slain,
Crying under the altar, blood stained,
Crying with a loud voice, not in vain,
How long, O Lord, till we’re vindicated?
A white horse appeared from the east amid thunder and lightening,
And the rider who sat upon him was the mighty King,
With a sharp sickle in his hand, a day of reckoning,
Evil would not prevail against the King of Kings!"
- Victor Hugo Osorio

partially right. it's more of a maternal religion, but hey, paternal religions have only existed for, like, 5000 years, and you can darn well see what we've made of it!!!

Re: My Poems
Well, it would be an extremely long topic.
Anyways, for some parts of the interpretation you need a lot of background knowledge.
When you become a JW, this kind of stuff, bible prophecies, you don't learn about until you get near the end of your introductory study.
So, you have to have a lot of head knowledge before you start.
You know, we have an entire book dedicated to helping interpret Revelation.
LOL!
Actually, we studied it last year in bible study. (Bible study is just one of our meetings.)
Now, we've moved onto "Living With Jehovah's Day In Mind".
It's pretty good, actually.
:Darkjedi put another cracker into his mouth, and starts chewing away:
Dang it! Was I talking about the book, or the crackers and cheese?
Ah, well they're both good.

Actually, I was going to write a poem about the Christian struggle, but if you insist on the cheese and crackers......

Dreams
----------------------------------------
Dreams are silent memories
Stuff that has occupied your mind
Dreams are quiet thoughts
That keep you silent and in a bind
Dreams are quiet and still
Only images that you can see
Dreams keep you in constant awe
And leave you thinking about me
Dreams are here to help you understand
And comprehend all your thoughts
Dreams are here to keep you safe
And to inform you of what you brought
Dreams are like silver streams
Keeping the peace in a hateful world
Dreams are serene in a wonderful way
Making you calm in the midst of it all
Dreams are wonderful things
Full of wonderful calming emotions
Dreams are always there
In your mind, taking in all thoughts like an ocean

Crossroads
----------------------------------------
You stand at the crossroads
A turning point in your life
You don't know which path to choose
So you stand there, looking confused
You look down the left path,
At the dark images that lurk there
You decide not to go down this tempting road,
For you know it could hurt your soul
You take a look down the middle path,
At the gray images that play there
You decide not to go down this winding road,
For it seems to lead nowhere
You take a look down the path at the right,
See many bright images that sleep there
You decide not to go down this road,
For it looks like it would be work that could lead you back to here
You sit at the crossroads,
Thinking about your choices
Wondering which path to take
and how it would affect you

Death
----------------------------------------
Death is seen as something to be feared
Death is seen as the end of the road
Death is seen as blackness that surrounds us
Death is seen as place we should avoid
Death is an escape from the pain
Death is an escape from the sorrow
Death is an escape from the worldly goods
Death is an escape from the hate
I have welcomed Death many times
I wished for him to take me away
He stared at me with a ghastly look
And said it wasn't yet my time
I have witnessed Death, in all of its glory
I have seen Death, and know that he does his job without remorse
I have known Death, and I see his face in ghastly dreams
I wish to greet Death, as one friend does another.

Darkness
----------------------------------------
"When I first met her brother, he seemed to be an okay kind of guy. Now that I've gotten to know him, I realized he just needed a friend."
Ixbreathxnoxmore {May 4, 2006}
January 7, 1991 - July 13, 2008
May She Rest In Peace, and God have let her rest in happiness in Heaven.
I sit here, all alone
I can't seem to find a place to call my own
I just lay here thinking about my life
And wonder how quickly it would end on the edge of a knife
I watch the world pass me by
I wonder if I should die
I try and wonder if anyone would miss me
But that thought gets lost in a sea
No one seems to notice me, or even show that they care
They seem too caught up in their daily affairs
I seem to be surrounded by darkness everywhere I look
I seem to be cornered, and wondering what it took
I can't seem to find the place where I signed
I seem to be caught in a bind
In a constant struggle between my own emotions
I wish it to come and go, like the tides of an ocean
I sit here, alone and silent
I do not wish to become violent
Whether to die or to live
Is the choices from which I give
The choices that I have made
Are the choices that fill my grave
I seem to have been told
That the darkness takes its toll
It's the darkness that I breath
It's the darkness that fills me
It's the darkness that surrounds my thoughts
It's the darkness that takes what I've brought

Now, one from me.
Friends
________________________________________
I stand here with my friends, so happy and carefree
I look back at all the times we've played
And how much fun we had
I stand here with joy and happiness, knowing that friendship is tax-free
We have had so many wonderful times together
Standing and backing up each other
We have kept each other strong
Keeping each other from doing any wrong
We have stayed friends, through good times and bad
We have been there for each other, even when we were sad
We have stayed together and kept each other sane
Though at times we seem to be each others bane
We have been friends through it all
Making sure none of us fall
We stick by each other, even when we fight
Because in the end, we know that it is alright.
