Star Trek Script Still Not Done

So Bob Orci and co have been writing the script for the Star Sequel for months now. In that time, they've embarked on multiple projects including the third Transformers installment. Now Trek is set to be released summer of next year and they don't even have a first draft ready.
Which means one of two things: it's a damn amazing script that is so finely crafted that Alfred Hitchcock will cry tears of joy in his grave, or, it sucks.
Now the thing with orci and kurtzman, is they appear to be good writers-ish. I've noticed that their sequels usually kinda suck (Transformers 2 for instance) so I've been kinda worried from the get-go about Trek 12.

Well, I really hope they make then a god damn good script of this new era... How do they call it? New-TOS? xD

Yeah and as is typical of them, we have no idea what it's about yet. The only hint we have is it might be an allegorical type story as much of TOS episodes were

They made Transformers 2? Aarghhh!

They've written all of the Transformers movies to my knowledge (plus Cowboys and Aliens among other things)
