See it becomes representational for me. My cat is like the only thing I actually really talk to. She's essentially my only companion. So basically, it shows that as the years pass by, I regress into a more reclusive state in which I separate myself from the rest of humanity, with the exception of communication over the internet. It also shows that I do wish to not be alone but will not change it for reasons that I will not discuss here.
