I can tell you that love is fucked up. A bunch of shit, but that doesn't mean its bad. If you want my advice ask her out, just do it. She will likely agree to go on at least one date. And if in the end she breaks your heart than so be it, but I'm of the opinion that its better to have loved and lost than... you know.
