I wish people wouldn't call them Video games...sound so... so....[inset word here that is workable that isn't also stupid]

just grinds me, when people call em, Video games. Yes I'm sad like that.

well general, I call it, [insert console here] game.

or I just call it by it's name.

Video game,s just sound stupid... and American.

But that's what they are. They are games that are video, thus video games. Though the name Console Games also works.

Technically no as games have never been stored on video tapes therefore there not video games.

Ha ha well to put it bluntly a game is a game in which we have momentary pleasure then within a few hours gets boring.
