------Simon Rivers & Dawn---------
Having witnessed Melly's death on the beach by the alternate Rivers, Simon and Melly simply mourn her. Eventually however, Simon begins to try and understand what the significance of the beach is and why he remembers being there before. It is slowly coming to him with the help of Dawn and they set out to see how far the beach is. Finally remembering that the beach will stretch on indefinitely, Simon and Dawn need to choose a new direction; either into the water, or into the sand. Rivers decides the sand and he and Dawn start walking.

-------Rivers, Skeeve & Temple--------
After Melly's last ditch maneuver, she had saved the crew from being killed by Rivers' plan to rip apart the reality with the reality drive. Melly managed to transport them all somewhere, the question is where? Rivers, Skeeve and Temple seemed to land on a post apocalyptic planet, each separate from the other. Rivers met up with Skeeve and realizes that Skeeve is more than a simple assassin. Staring into Skeeve's mind, Rivers learns that he comes from a place beyond the usual planes of existence. Recognizing Skeeve as a powerful threat, Rivers kills Skeeve before he can disappear.

Rivers then proceeds to investigate the surrounding buildings in hopes of trying to contact the Darkwing. While investigating a building, he notices movement on the ground below: Temple. Temple notices someone in the building, but Rivers ducks out of view. Finding a damaged radio, Rivers tries to contact the Darkwing but with no luck. Leaving the building, Rivers finds a lone plant in the middle of all the grey destruction. Then noticing a small ship in the distance, Rivers heads off for it. Managing to get it flying, Rivers takes off for the Darkwing.

------The Darkwing (Tim, Jean, Rose, Breeana)-------
Rose is dead on the command deck, the ship having suffered heavy damage between the reality drive and Melly's attempt at saving them. Power is flickering and not stable. As the others regain consciousness, Jean realizes that the ship's core is about to overload. Rushing to engineering, Tim directs her on how to shut it down. With only seconds remaining, Jean shuts down all systems, thus preventing the core overload.
Meanwhile, Bree comes to in the medical bay, but she isn't alone. A Shadow is also in the room. Frightened, Bree accidentally attracts its attention. The Shadow then jumps her and somehow possess her body, causing her to head for engineering.
Rivers manages to find the Darkwing drifting above the post apocalyptic planet. The whole area appears to be some sort of graveyard, as their is debris and things all over the place. With the oxygen failing in the ship, Rivers contacts Jean and gets her to open the shuttlebay. Before Rivers lands however, he notices a Solari nearby. Once aboard the ship, Rivers and Jean heads for Medical, finding Bree to be nowhere in sight, Rivers and Jean head to engineering to try and restore power.
Unknown to all of them, the Solari comes aboard the Darkwing and heads for Command.
