Biography:

Jonathan Averley Rose (goes by John usually) was born in Colorado and was raised in the little bit of open country left between the great cities of earth. Being raised out on a large farm/plantation John was introduced to hard work and mechanics early on in life. Once he was of age he gladly left the rural area of the planet and joined starfleet training to become a field mechanic (type thing) since his family didnt have the influence to opt him into officer training.
He did well in his classes due to being raised on older versions of everything starfleet and his nurtured ability to understand such things without to much trouble and was given an intern position on an intrepid class ship that was being assigned to one of the more troublesome areas of the quadrant as a countermeasure against the smaller rebellions. The small fights and constant need of small repairs finished Johns training and he was given a position on a slightly larger ship. He stayed aboard the "LawHead" for his tour raising in rank, while aboard he joined the security personel as well as keeping his duties in engineering.
After he finished his tour aboard the "LawHead" he had himself reassigned to a security position at "ArkFlight" a small science station working on creating new ships and incorporating the newest technologies into them. While he was there he was sure to find himself listening in and learning what he could. His grasp of the technologies they were first using helping him decipher the newer things that came after. Once that tour finished he found himself unable to gain the position he wanted in the science devision of starfleet and he left starfleet after assuring that he would be able to rejoin if he wished later on.

He spent a year traveling and seeing the sites of the galaxy until what funds he had ran out and he was forced to seek job after job doing what he could to overhaul older ships engine room and technologies while using them to hitchhike across the glaxy looking for a ship he liked that might take him in. Two years later finds him still looking.
