STO-Demo Download Opinions? (Poll)

Just wanted to see what all of you think or know about this, I am currently waiting to download the demo, my laptop being what it is it's been 2 days and 2 nights but nearly done. (Nearly half way) but I don't know what it'll be like so Opinions?

More info please. It's unlikely anyone is downloading the same thing as you, but STO could be several things.

Think shem Star Trek Online, Pretty much all the info you need. I hear it's pretty restricted, and I'm just asking cause I know a few people have played STO on here.

STO At the current Moment in Time is Crap* Until Season Four gets released, that fixes most of the shit people hated about the game. The Reason it's taken so long for the game to finally start getting good, was the Head Dev, was a dick. but now there's a new one.

* Unless Season Four is already released.

Dunno, never played the Demo, only the Main game.

Last time I played it, it was complete shit. Just boring as fuck.

They had this ''taktikuhls cumbooots'' thing going on but truth is, it's shallow as fuck and consists of you turning like a motherfucker while clicking the ''fire front phasor'' buttons till there's very little difference between your fingers and an old mushy hotdog, then trying to shove as many torpedoes up their rear nacelles (torps damage hull a shitload, phasors damage shields pretty good) only for the shield to regain exactly one fucking shield point a microsecond before your torps hit their ship. And the quests... Oh god the quests... So. Freaking. Boring.

I gave up on it after a few days. Still regretting that purchase, even if it was only 20ish dollars/12ish euros/120ish SEK.

But ehh, maybe they changed it or something.

I'd still advise you to go play world of tanks or something like that. God that game is fun...

I'm gonna try out the Demo first but I don't think it'll be good by the sounds. and yes it shifted to Atari

Got into the private beta was good then then the beta went public they added things and then they ruined it!

I see nobody understand the concept of Fixing things.

This game's been out for over a year now, hasn't it? Or has it been longer?

I thought it was longer than Two.

I thought it had its full release in like February of 2010

I dunno. I have just played a little of the demo and the ground battle I have to say is cool and it's fun but the Space and the ship is shi, it's all shit, the controls are shit, and most of all, I have downloaded it on my little notebook so the lag is unbelievable.

But I really doubt, they updated the Demo.

Yeah, Season 4 has a new land combat feature which is crossfire. Article's on Trekmovie should you feel inclined to read it

Yeah and it still works. Also no they haven't updated the demo, I was just playing it. Crossfire looks interesting. The lag has now stopped, and it works at perfect speed
