I'm not entirely sure I understand the last two posts and their relevance and context.
Re: Races/Descriptions Help
They must be pointing out they won't be applying for this voluntary 'job'...

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Oh and thanks Shem, just either post them here and I'll copy them over, or PM them to me. Add whatever race you want there too (within reason of course)
Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Centaur
Centaurs are intelligent yet confused liminal beings, being half man, half horse. Their advanced thinking and moral stubbornness has led many to become philosophers or teachers. However, their unbending ideals and quick temper can lead to them flying off the handle at any time. Alleged to be born of Ixion and Nephele, powers of Mt. Olympus, their numbers are still strongest in that area.
Partly for their pride and partly for their lack of stamina compared to that of a horse, centaurs should not primarily work as beasts of burden. They can however function in shorter periods, such as armoured combat.

Dark Elf
Like Normal Elf's, Dark Elf's are Immortal, and just like the Normal Efl's are Excellent Combatants, the Dark Elf's were 'Formed' by the Elf Elder, Zoki, when she attempted to learn the Eleven Dark Art's, She was quickly found out, She and her followers were banihsed to the Dark Forest.
For the Eon's after this, the Dark Elf's become nothing more than an Human or Elf, child's Tale, to frighten to go to bed, or clean there Teeth, but the Elven Elder, know the Truth, and keep it to them selfs.
Meh...i could of thought of something better.

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Nyan Cat
The Nyan Cats are a race of felids that are constantly on the search for sweet and sugary foods. Although they may be described as "cute" in appearance, they are vindictive creatures that cut swathes into the countryside in their never-ending quest for for saccharine satisfaction.
They appear to look like normal cats with one distinct difference: their bodies are not furry and round. Rather, their bodies are boxy and appear to look like strawberry Poptarts. The Poptart body is the sole identifier of a Nyan Cat, and no, it is not edible.
Gaining the favor of a Nyan Cat is fairly simple, as long as one has the correct supplies on hand. Simply feed it candy and give it milk and it will be content and it may even accompany you for a while. If one has neither milk nor candy, however, the Nyan Cat may simply decide to decapitate the offender with its large rock candy claws on a whim.
How's this?

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
I've returned, after a year, and I'm here to help. What are the limitations to the 'races' that will be allowed?
Re: Races/Descriptions Help
They can't be Cosmic Beings... i know that bit.

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
First: what do you mean by 'Cosmic Being'? And second, very specifically to Vedic: where'd you get that avatar? It looks cool!
Re: Races/Descriptions Help
a 'Cosmic being' is, someone who is...for lack of better words like Q, Or God.
As for my Avatar...it's an Ceph Grunt from Crysis 2, found an large pic on the Wiki, then cropped it.

Delsons
Ok. Here I go:
Delson
These creatures look like a cross between a Jurassic Park Velociraptor and an Insect. They are very aggressive, but highly intelligent. They are capable of gliding with their bat-like wings and have a Morningstar-like structure at the end of their tail. Their hand-claws are scythe-like and capable of slicing up unprotected humanoids with ease. Their saliva is acidic and they have developed the muscles to allow them to propel it for over 25 ft. Their aggressive nature makes it difficult to associate with them, but, once an alliance is formed, they will follow through loyally and without room for error.
Hope it will work. It's a race I made in Spore.

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Hello again.
Your creature isn't particularly akin to something mediaevally mythological. Might I suggest something with historical backing, please see our suggested list of races for guidance.

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
I figure I'll just help out by adding on to your pre-existing races, Humans, Dwarves, and Elves first.
Human:
Average size, and varying unique appearances are just two of many things that define human's independence from other races. Short lived but numerous, and while usually lacking wisdom, they make it up in courage, curiosity, and averaging between strength and speed. They are not suited to just one task, however, as humans are typically multipurpose creatures, capable of doing anything, but masters of few of those professions.
Dwarf:
Short, stout, and extremely courageous, these masters of the forges are experts of battle and little else thanks to their impressive strength. Most reside by a code of honor, but others are too greedy to follow 'guidelines', and stick to their mountain realms. Though welcoming to guests, they rarely go out of their way to 'invite' someone into their homes, and really stick to their own ground.
Elf:
Wise, intelligent, and very swift, elves are the longest living race in the land, having long since overseen the lands. They have always claimed to have a responsibility to take care of the land that caters all beings. This has lead to some icy relationships, however. Elves are split into three main groups: Workers, Warriors, and Elders. Elf workers are usually wood workers, farmers, etc, taking only what's necessary from the land, while warriors are usually swift, fast attackers. Their light frame and armor being a mixed blessing, as they're fast, but also vulnerable. Elders are primarily magic wielders, and are the leaders of their people. While age has claimed some of their former stamina and speed, they make up for it in intelligence, wisdom, and mysticism.
(I am unsure if you're going to use magic, I really don't know the rpg as it's not mine, but I figured this would help at least some, given that, in my honest opinion, the old descriptions were kind of lacking... No offense.)
Edit: And a few suggestions for the picture for Dark Elves, basing it off of your previous choices.

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Yes and no. Right now I'm just looking for playable races, so following some of Shem's advice would help. However, these things sound like they might make excellent foot soldiers of the doom that's to befall the Land
Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Xenolich
The Xenolich were initially a race of reptillian humanoids. Formerly a kind race, the Xenolich would help out their neighbors. However, they were wiped out when the whole Xenolich population aided a city under siege by an enormous monster. They returned, however, as a race of vengeful spirits. Although there are a few exceptions, they are mostly cruel and without mercy.

Re: Races/Descriptions Help
Reaver: A fully sentient, intelligent demon capable of conversation with any creature once it has formed a bond with said creature's mind. It has exhaustive knowledge of the arcane arts, in both mystic and blood magic. Unlike other demons, however, it is incapable of serving its own ends and its goals are for the betterment of demonkind.
In appearance, it is fairly nondescript, given it has no features. It is essentially a walking, upright shadow. The high-ranking reavers are wrapped in chains to signify status and their magical power is unmatched, both in demon and human realms. Given enough time and access to a catalyst, it can create nearly irreparable tears in the universe. With this act it seals its own fate, because its own soul creates the tear. It cannot care, however, for its own sacrifice causes the incursion of demons and the destruction of universes all for the betterment of demonkind.
