New Zealand copyright law
ok well the government is trying to get rid of illegal file sharing by allowing copyright holders to issue a complaint and if you get three complaints you get a $15,000 dollar fine.
Opinions?

Re: New Zealand copyright law
$15,000 is extortionate. But, illegal filesharing is generally bad.

Re: New Zealand copyright law
yea. they say they will track you from torrents. the thing is it is really easy for me to do a ip reroute or just hide my ip
Re: New Zealand copyright law
I have a piece of advice that I dunno, people just don't think of this one y'know, they just don't. And basically it's, you could simply not pirate stuff. I know that's a radical and far out concept, will probably take decades for it to really sink in because the impact of such a piece of advice is so overwhelming, well, most people just can't handle it

Yep, I've torrented one thing, no wait two, but one of which I intend to buy in the next couple of months and the second because my version of windows didn't come with an OS disk

I've torrented some things... some legal others not so legal... like some linux OSes that are only downloaded via torrent or Windows 7 (I really don't wanna live with Windows Vista <.<)
