Excaliber, A Legend

Its 2374, the Dominion War has been going strong, the 3rd Strike Group in the Nalvana Sector has been cripled, only one ship survived, the U.S.S. Hood, Admiral Yares in command of the Strike Group has died, Captain Tiko Forest has died, Commander James Desoto has taken command.

Acting Captains Log, Stardate 51188.1, Commander James Desoto in command, The U.S.S. Hood has taken sevear damage, we managed to make it away, as far as we know we are the only ship to survive the Dominion assult, 4 Dominion Fighters were in Pursuit of us but we managed to elude them, The Hood is Traveling at half impulse, the warp engines are offline and so are long range communications, our only hope is to get to Starbase 25, hopefully its still their" Commander Desoto said.

The ship shuttered, Desotot fell out of his chair in the ready room, he hit the floor hard, his hand landed on a peace of shattered glass and it cut his hand open, just then above the door of the ready room a red light flashed, and the comm system came online "All Hands Battlestations" said a voice over the comm. Desoto Rushed to the bridge, his hand was still bleeding, he raced accrost the bridge and sat in the captains chair

"Report" Desoto said loudly over the sound of bending metal and explosions all over the bridge "Sir, 3 Dominion Fighters have opened fire on us, their is no way we can beat them" Said an ensign at the Ops station "Weapons" Desoto said "Forward Phasers are online, and Aft Torpeto Launcher 1 is online, thats it, Shields are at 4%" Said the man at Tactical "Open Fire" Said Desoto, the ship opened fire, they managed to disable one of the Dominion Fighters, but just then a Dominion Cruiser dropped out of warp, there was no way they would escape, just then 4 K'Vort Class Birds of Prey Decloaked and destroyed all of the Fighters, they chased the Cruiser off aswell, then a Vor'Cha Cruiser decloaked, and hailed them, they were informed that they would be escourted to the Starbase, and they would live to tell the tale of this battle.

A month passed and the Hood was still sevearly damaged, after being repaired it helped in 4 major battles, it had finially reached its time, Desoto now captain of the Hood was sad to see his ship decommissioned, but, while on a pod in Starbase 25, he and his command crew were shuttled to their new ship, they looked, and they thought they would get the U.S.S. Challenger, a Sabre Class Starship, they diddnt want that ship, but the pod procceded to go past the Sabre, it then slowed to a stop in front of the U.S.S. Excaliber, a Galaxy Class Starship, refitted with top of the line weapons, even a Quantom Torpeto Launcher on the bottom of the saucer, It was truley a sight to see, this is the story, of the Crew of the Excaliber, how they became legends in the fleet, how they saved the Federation time and time again, and how their losses and sacrifice, benifitted us all, Enter Excaliber.

Captains Log, U.S.S. Excaliber, NCC-71892, Stardate 53195.7, its been over a year since the end of the dominion war, the crew has performed with great pride, we have been ordered to the Badlands to investigate a borg presence, we are also accompinied by the Enterprise-E and 2 other Akira class starships, we dont know what we will find, i just hope me crew will perform wonderfully in this situation.

"Status" Captain Desoto said as he walked onto the bridge, he looked around at his crew, he was facinated by the calm on the bridge, he thought it would be hectic, going to see the borg.
"We are 4 min from the Badlands, the Enterprise has ordeered us to drop out of warp and we were doing that now, we are detecting multiple borg signatures on long range sensors, atleast one is a tactical cube" Said Lt. Mara my Ops Officer.
"Red Alert, All Hands Battlestations" Said Commander Teddy my first officer.
