An "Origins" Trailer

As the 2nd Anniversary of the release of Episode 1 was just a few days ago, I figured I'd celebrate by finally dusting this old video off and bringing it to the internet. I can safely say I've come a long way in the world of 3d animation ever since I've created this trailer. But ultimately, without this trailer, I would never have even considered making this project into what it is today.

This trailer was a concept trailer of sorts. With the release of the newest Star Trek movie in 2009, and with some experience in film making with my friend Chris Cameron, Red Squad has become much more than just a simple 3d animation, and much more than just a sort of test bed for my skills. Its become a nearly fully fledged story. A mostly cliche story, mind you, but its become a story. And it has also become the basis for a new fan universe based in the story, and the dream, of Star Trek.

With that said, as I finish up Red Squad Episodes 3 and 4, I am simultaneously going to pursue the making of a feature length movie entitled "Star Trek: Infestation," which will further the adventures of the Red Squad crew. Infestation will be combined with story elements of my "Reman War" trailer. This story is to be set in 2390, two years after the events of the last episode of Red Squad. Infestation will be detailing a much more sinister villain than a rouge Romulan. There is not much else to say on this new movie project at the moment.
