Help With Gamemaker

IF anyone here is exsperienced with game maker, i need help.
(I have the free version)
ok, i want to make it so i can draw a line on the bored, like click and drag, like in microsoft paint how you can click and drag a line in a compleate 360 degree array of angles, however, i also want a button so when the game is over, all i have to do is press a button and it resets the bored, its a game like grand master dots, only its ment to be played by 2 players and no npc. So its simple, but i cant figure out why it wont let me do that, so if anyone can help, that would be great.

i havent used gamemaker in a extremely long time, and even the last time i used it is was just for a few minutes... lets seee
you should be able to reset the room cause i often used it, get your button object and look for the reset room thing in the event place, im pretty sure its there,
