Spiderman 4 (Reboot)
So I've been griping about this film since it was first announced. As you all may or may not be aware, Spiderman is having a reboot, Sony wasn't agreeing with Sam Raimi, so Raimi and co left and now it's a whole new crew and cast (that guy who played Mark Zuckerburg's best friend/co-founder is the new spidey) Anywho, the first photo has been released and the suit is at least quite cool, so if the movie is as cool as the suit, maybe there is hope. Though I kinda expected spidey to be a bit...thicker

I will refuse to watch the movie if/when it comes out.
You cannot reboot spiderman now. Nope, ut uh.
Maybe in a decade, but not now.

Isn't pretty much 90% of the film's plot about spidey running around high school being a massive emo?

Re: Spiderman 4 (Reboot)
Well, apparently that's more accurate to the comics though. This guy I know, big comic book nut, says a good 80% or more of the comics took place while he was in high school.
So I'm OK with that, but if it is angsty and emo, then yeah, it'll be a waste of time.
@DJ, your immaturity never ceases to amaze, I agree, too early to reboot it, but I mean do the math, last film (which utterly sucked) came out in 07, this comes out in 12, that's a 5 year gap, so it's a pretty decent time frame. I mean look at Star Trek, it had only been what, 7 years since the previous film and they decide to reboot the series?

Well, ST was a reboot of TOS, but not TNG. TNG will probably remain untouched for a while, if they even touch it again at all.
Oh, and yes, I refuse to grow up. I'm thinking about just giving in soon though. But, life's really fun as a kid...

Well, like DW said, the movie won't be out till 2012, so it will been 5 years, wait since the last once, and Star Trek 11, was made in 09, the last one before that (Nemesis) was made in 02, Not sure when ST12 will be released, in 2012 something, likely

ST12 comes out a few days after Spidey 4 and Dark Knight Rises is like a few days after that. That's gonna be an intense 3 weeks (and this is June 2012 if memory serves)
And here's the Spidey story, this was supposed to be Spidey 4. However, Raimi and Sony were having differing views on things like villains for Spidey 4. Eventually, after so much trouble and complications, Raimi and his gang left. So naturally Sony just turned the budget for Spidey 4 into Spidey the reboot.

Oh and not quite as true as you may think. They rebooted Star Trek, as in the entire franchise, thus the choice to go back to the beginning and set up a new universe.
