Re: Why Are you Here?
That there is, I only vaguely remember the show from my earliest days of childhood though
Re: Why Are you Here?
No actually. See it's a show I sorta forgot that existed until Shem a couple years back posted a Darkwing Duck picture. No, here's the story of my name:
Maybe, I dunno, five or so years ago my brother and I used to take graph paper and do a sort of star trek strategy combat game. We'd have resources and stats and whatnot and using pencils, would draw our ship and move them around and fight each other (things actually got pretty tough as we'd think up some pretty intense strategies and be outsmarting each other, twas quite challenging) Anyways, I named my primary ship, a sovvie, the USS Darkwing.
Shortly after, I started getting into animation using a program called Anim8or. I decided to try and make a Star Trek thingy with an advanced sovvie ship of a new class which would be the USS Darkwing. I never got that far with it, I was still learning the software. Then I joined VX flash in about 2006 I think. I needed a username, so what is more fitting than using the name of my flagship, so I named myself Darkwing!
And of course you know the rest, I started up a BM2 forum and then this one and I have been Darkwing ever since!

Re: Why Are you Here?
Because of all the age old fighting? Or some other reason? Or just cause you're not religious?
Re: Why Are you Here?
Yeah. I used to be a proper little Yehud, goyim.
Nah, it's just because they're so contentious. I've encountered hostility due to having a Jewish-sounding username (not here)

Humph, I feel like we've had the username origins discussion before. EDIT: Yes in fact we did, just saw someone's link to the old thread
Oh, and I have no idea why I'm here.
Note: I've recently found similarities between DW and Capitan Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne.
(Just moderated a discussion about it in my book club. )

Re: Why Are you Here?
Part of me actually misses the war. There was so much action!
BM3, the spam attacks, counterattacks, defacements, all just so much fun!
When BM3 gets moving again things will get more interesting. (Don't get me wrong, things now are great, but without the chaos.)

I remember I joined because of FlashTrek... When Raffitz was kinda absent... (Now he's really absent...)
Re: Why Are you Here?
Yeah, I remember burying him in, what, 08? And then he came back not too long after that, and now it looks like he's dead again.

I have a question, what was this game and how do i play it, lol, yes, im really asking about that, lol.
(and i was only bothered to read to page 2, i diddnt feel like reading the rest of the 2 pages to make a relivent post, im just interested in this game)
Re: Why Are you Here?
I'll write it up and do pictures for you tomorrow when I'm less sleepy, it was actually kinda fun, lot of erasing and drawing and wearing down paper, but still fun
Re: Why Are you Here?
I like fun things maby i could fashon it into a flash game if its not to complicated, lol, i have alot of paper and ALOT of free time, if its time consuming, i would enjoy it. Technically if you could provide a grid for all players, or whatever bored is needed, you could use microsoft paint and post the map each turn or whatever lol, it could be the first virtual bored game lol, but anyways, point being, i like games like that, and thanks for doing that, thats great , i just hope its not like axis and allies and you need to role 8 dice for each unit on the field and what not.
Re: Why Are you Here?
No no, and there are already virtual board games, y'know, chess, checkers, risk, monopoly, clue, yahtzee and so on and so forth. Though I can't really remember the rules to this game so I'll have to confer with mr TCMurder tomorrow about them
