Re: Random/Weird Fears
are you serious? giant grapefruits?! that is certainly a new one.
I have a fear of falling and a fear of no return. also a odd fear of my hallway during a power cut (probably because of the number of earthquakes that happened on the 4th of september 2010. Also I cant sleep if I am in my room at 4am for the same reason. there those are my random fears.

Yes, he legitimately has a fear of that, I have spent a fair amount of time poking fun at that

I had a dream about it, believe it or not. I was being chased by one big-ass grapefruit. No lie! I woke up before it rolled me over.
Re: Random/Weird Fears
last night I dreamed I had a jet pack and a sonic screw driver and cops wanted to catch me because I set off all their car alarms.

Re: Random/Weird Fears
This is hilarious.
And for me, I'm afraid of mirrors. I try not to look into them for fear of seeing something staring out at me that shouldn't be.

Re: Random/Weird Fears
Oh, those alucionations I have since I first played FEAR? And there's those ones from The Ring? And even those from random scare movies out in the internet?
I use to avoid looking at mirrors at 3 a.m. because of that, but I think it's more because I'm tired both psicologically and phisically...

Re: Random/Weird Fears
Because 99% of all people are not ready to deal with what exactly marriage means. Because marriages fail at more than a 50% rate. And because, really, you can't do anything after you get married.

Re: Random/Weird Fears
what do you mean by that you cant do anything after you are married?
and marriages fail mostly because the people are not ready for that kind of commitment and they think love is only an emotion. Also you say 99% of people are not ready then why do they only fail at a 50% rate?

Re: Random/Weird Fears
Because they learn in the middle of it and they're stuck in unhappy marriages. People today don't know what they're getting into. And the 1% that's actually happy with marriage and prepared throughout? Good for them. They're the exception.
After you get married basically you have no me-time anymore and all your time (and money) goes into the collective marriage pot. Oh, and friends? What friends? You don't need any friends!

Re: Random/Weird Fears
I think the key fact omitted from Alka's statement is now. The statistical probability of people staying married long term was much higher even 50 years ago. Granted, there were certain cultural motivations for staying together such as scandal for breaking up and whatnot, but still, it has something to do with our consumerist attitude. You buy something quick, gives you a quick thrill, then you dispose of it. We do it with people now too.
Re: Random/Weird Fears
Exactly. Marriage as it is today is a failure. The entire system needs to be reworked. Honestly? It's been proven that arranged marriages rarely ever fail because both parties know what's going to happen and they both try to make it work out. Marrying for "love" nowadays is a farce.

1% haha BS!! I know of at least 40 couples that are happy in their marriage. I agree there are alot of people who get into it unprepared.
you get no more me time? again BS, also if you marry the person you should enjoy their company anyway.
having no friends because your married?! that is the biggest piece of bullshit I have ever heard! I am friends with people who are married and EVERY married couple I know have friends of their own.
how old are you because you obviously have a shallow view of this subject

Poor Alka. Guys, you'll have to accept you're probably in the small minority of teenage boys who feel they are ready for full commitment and have no cold feet.

Shem, why must you think everyone is a duplicate account?
You've no idea how many times he's PMed me saying he thinks that a new account is just me. Well he thought JLS here was me.
Let me put this in simpler terms:
There is more than one person on this earth.
