2011 games to look forward to
whats everyone looking forward to next year?
for me skyrim is the main one, you all have no idea how happy i was when Elder scrolls V was announced alongside Mass Effect 3 which im looking forward too as well but not as much as skyrim, turns out its gonna pick up where the last game left off which means there save import which in turn means i am now rushing to try and do everything i can in oblivion,
I also wanna play Dead space 2 when it comes out next month, can't wait. but from the demo i thinks its kinda easy (but the demo only had normal difficulty)
No way am i looking forward to dragon age 2, origins was too boring
and im also eagerly awaiting Gears 3, and maybe portal 2

Re: 2011 games to look forward to
Skyrim...holy shit. *insert every single "do want" picture here*
i also want the new mortal kombat, its hard to find games where you can sit down and play with friends this day and age, and i reckon this new one will be nostalgia on a disk
another one i really want is Diablo III. hell, it might not even come out next year, but there's a chance.
but hey, nice to have you back. this time you should "stay a while and listen." (pun)

Heh, I was just over my sister's boyfriend's house the other day, and we were playing SC2.
I actually like it. It's very similar to the 1st one, but it feels more refined. I'm sure the new expansion will be great as well.

don't worry i intend to stay this time
as for SC, it might sound blasphemous but i never played starcafts 1 or 2 (i know a friend who got the collectors edition and wouldn't stop showing me his usb for a week), i did play warcraft 3 though

Man! You're missing out!
Oh, and I'd have to say, if you have a sick rig, it's quite rewarding when you play SC2.
The textures, shadowing... beautiful.
Voice acting in SC2 is a little corny, but oh well. That's the only downside I could think of. Well, that, and the 200 pop limit.

The voice acting, yes, it was a little corny... All that revolution chat, than the doctor hitting on Raynor, Jim getting drunk and finally trying to bring the KoB back...
The 200 pop limit is to avoid dragging the game for much longuer... Once you get 200 pop, you have nothing better to do than to attack... Cause there are people who would only attack once they'd get the critical mass for invincibility (for exemple in mech tactics, were you only build Siege Tanks and Thors, on you get a army composed of 50-50 of them, it's pretty unstoppable... Especially with the tanks in siege mode...)

Have you ever beat a Korean? Seriously, those people are machines!JPB18 wrote:Darkjedi wrote:Voice acting in SC2 is a little corny, but oh well. That's the only downside I could think of. Well, that, and the 200 pop limit.

Note: the cinematics were wonderful in graphic quality though, don't you think?
Re: 2011 games to look forward to
trust me, i doubt the acting in SC2 is as corny as Devil May Cry 4, speaking of which I'm also looking forward to the Devil May Cry reboot but i have no idea when its coming out and the new Dante (the main guy) looks lame...is diablo 3 coming for sure this year? (i was about to say next year) cause it was supposed to come 2009 or 2010 when it was first announced wasn't it?

I can't beat koreans, cause they use the American servers, not the European... But true, those guys are real machines...
And yes, the cinematics were just wonderfull...
Re: 2011 games to look forward to
Maybe, we could both play with each other... and it could be kinda like this:

European server... You keep forgetting that...
Re: 2011 games to look forward to
There should be some way to bypass that. Can you make a private game on there?
Re: 2011 games to look forward to
Unfortunatelly, SC2 wont have any private server, since blizzard won't authorize any...
And private games are only within your area... I can't have a game with someone on the USA, for exemple...

What? Now that's gay.
Couldn't you connect through a VPN though, or anything like that?

Isn't Blizzard the same people as WoW? If so, you have no hope.

Re: 2011 games to look forward to
It is... And Cataclysm, to what I've heard, sucks... and I won't format my pc because of it...
Also, they shut down SC2 servers when they launched Cataclysm so that they were able to handle all those new key "validations" and account associations...
