Hammerdown protocol is in effect, repeat, hammerdown
That is definitely one of the best gaming moments i've seen. It's from MW2. Washington DC has been invaded by ZE EEEHVEHL RUSSIANS!!, and you're an army ranger who's in the middle of the fight. You've fought your way through the suburbs and central DC, and now you're at the most important building in the city, the White House (Whiskey Hotel, it's callsign). You've gone into the west wing with your ranger team, when you hear a man on the radio say ''Hammerdown protocol is in effect. You are in a hardened high value structure'', and the only way to save said structure is to make your way to the top of the building and light green flares before the fighter bombers make their pass. The next few minutes you charge through the White House, hastily killing russians as the squad commander, Sgt. Foley counts down the minutes (and by the end of it, seconds) till the strike. You reach the roof, and pop the flares just in time, the fighter bombers fly over the white house, and you can see Washington (or what's left of it) as the sun rises.
I freaking loved that level. The sense of haste you get as Foley counts down the time, the music, the importance of the place you're trying to save... It all adds up to make this one hell of an awesome level. The rest of the campaign is alot of fun, but the Washington levels definitely take the cake. Also, the way they've designed the HUD and everything (the sound, voice acting and graphics are great and the HUD disappears when it isn't needed) gives you a heightened sense of immersion. If it wasn't for the fact that the cuntfaced asshole Bobby Kotick hadn't fired the guys who were in charge of designing the MW series, i'd have looked forward to MW3, just for the campaign. But now all we're going to get is some sub par shit... God i hope they fire that dick.
TL;DR: The washington level in MW2 was awesome. What's your favorite gaming moment, and you need to get a proper fucking attention span.

OMG i jizzed when i first played it, it is the best misson by a long shot. especially when you walk out the tunnell at the begining and all you see is the white house, and the washignton monument blown to hell and on fire. i totally agree with everything. plus i hated the multiplayer on it soooooooo many hackers/(tenth presdtige hackers)/ modders/campers/ general noobs

For me it would be the ending of Mass effect, I was crapping my self when i thought Shep was dead, i was like "40 hours! and you going to Kill him WTF," then he alive then like yay. Kinda the same when you play the beginning of ME2, but i already knew he'd come back.
And when Sgt.forge died, the only time i felt sad of an Video game.

so many online starcraft 1 and 2 moments...almost 100% chance that i'd lose but then somehow i make 3+ clicks per second on average (said so in stats) that came together perfectly and wiped them out. (2v1).
hate mail is fun.
same goes for any shooter, if i get hate mail it's a good day.
im not done, in single player, god of war 3 and Uncharted 2 constantly made piles of wet pants in my laundry room....there is a reason that they are some of the highest rated games of all time.
and @thingy i dont think most of us need TL;DRs
