China is a Super-power, It may not have 10,000 nukes, but it has enough to make you stay the hell away from there mainland. It's got good tanks, good guns and there solider are trained to hell and back. if China and the US ever got into a war, unless the US nuked China American would be taken within a month.

The only reason the states haven't declared independence, is because they won't be protected by the US military, they would have to forge there own military and fund It, plus all the other crap with running a country, so they stick together, granted they getting screwed over, but it' better than screwing your self over.

And the states are doing fine. Kind of. Maybe. A little. They're in a massive amount of debt, and a pretty sizeable chunk of their population seems to be either fucktarded/fat as fuck. But other than that, they're still a force to be reckoned with.

Also, leaving the US and deciding to form your own little micro country is like shooting yourself in the foot, what with the absolutely immense amount of benefits they get from being part of the states.

Also, GS, you're simplifying it beyond the point of freaking sanity. Nothing that actually works is so simple that you or i can come up with it, but the massive amount of experts (who by the way have top tier education and a shitload of experience in their fields) in charge can't.
