How To Make Firefox Run Faster

Here, i'll guide you through this:
1. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit enter.
2. Type "pipelining" into the filter field
3. Change the following settings (double-click on them to change them):
1) Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
2) Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
3) Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to a number like 30. This will allow it to make 30 requests at once.
4) Also, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0″. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.
5. Give me a cookie. LOL!

Oh, ok. If you skip step 2, it makes it even faster! (A bit less secure, but no different from before you made these modifications.)

Ok, I have a better idea! I just discovered this today. Oh, and it's much easier. It's an add-on for Firefox, called "Fasterfox". Here's the link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/file/5600/fasterfox-2.0.0-fx.xpi

No, it just has Pipelining turned off because not everyone has a fast internet connection.

another thing to make it faster.
I also have a tip: open FF. then open task manager. then set the priority of Firefox to 'high'. (NOTE: do not set it any higher - it may cause your computer to crash)

Note: If you want a good open source anti-virus software program, I highly suggest getting ClamWin, or Avast. (Avast is my favorite.)
