Re: it's here well not quite
Really? It's faster than chrome? If that's the case, then FF will once again have everything. Fastest Browsing + Best Extension Collection + Security = Blow everyone else out of the water awesomeness
Re: it's here well not quite
I find Chrome very slow. I personally don't like Chrome, just feels too basic to me that and it's really slow
Re: it's here well not quite
I only started using Chrome because it was on a Laptop i used for a weekend, then that got me hooked on to it.

Re: it's here well not quite
I use two browsers. FF with cache, cookies and everything else stopped. When combined with adblock, it uses about half the power chrome sucks out of my battery. Chrome is for when I'm on mains, and want twiddly bits to a browser. However, I'll seriously be considering looking at the 'profiles' options of FF to have two forms of the browser (energy-efficient and full options). This is mainly because even though Chrome has the sleek design, it can't hide the poor performance on multiple tabs. It's terrible!

Re: it's here well not quite
Never used Chrome, when I was smaller and first got into comps, I thought it was a add - on or a widget.
I use Mozilla Firefox, it's superior than crap Internet Explorer. I installed Internet Explorer from Microsoft's site to see if it works, then I got a ' gift ', a virus. Then it suddenly ' recommends ' Microsofts costly Anti - Virus saying it's ' superior '... If Microsoft can infect people's computers and try to convince them to buy costly software, then that shows how bad they are...
Macs are better, my mom uses a Mac, and it's way better. PCs are s***, older ones are better than the current ones. Trying to give you the least amount of memory and Ram possible and increasing the price? What the f***.

Re: it's here well not quite
I got it from Microsoft, I installed it on my computer not my mom's, my computer is a PC, my mom has the only Mac. And I didn't get it from a dodgie provider..... My computer constantly scans, I set it that way, it may slow it down a little but hey, I'm safe.

Re: it's here well not quite
see it's people like you who claim macs are superior in every way that make people hate mac, fact mac's aren't perfect and neither is windows but that's just life and people need to deal with it.
Re: it's here well not quite
I agree, Macs do have negative points like everything, I just prefer them significantly more than Windows PC's.
Re: it's here well not quite
I've never used a Mac,but wouldn't Say Wins is perfect either.

Google Chrome was released two years ago. Re-evaluate statement.Nuchiha101 wrote:Never used Chrome, when I was smaller and first got into comps, I thought it was a add - on or a widget.
Yep, like Vedic, you either had a pre-existing problem, or you downloaded it from a dodgy site. Say what you like about Microsoft being moneygrabbing and unhelpful, they're not criminal in that way.Nuchiha101 wrote:I use Mozilla Firefox, it's superior than crap Internet Explorer. 1. Newer computers are undoubtedly more powerful. They continue to become better value for money, otherwise ATARI would be raking it in.Nuchiha101 wrote:Macs are better, my mom uses a Mac, and it's way better. 2. Macs are more expensive. Although it doesn't directly compare, when I was researching laptops I found that you paid roughly double for Macs with similar specs to normal laptops.
Anyway, enjoy your Windows 3.1

Re: it's here well not quite
On your last point shem, yes, the Macs are overpriced, but despite having the same specs, the Mac ones run smoother and rarely overheat and the multitasking is better. Part of it is the Macs don't take up nearly as many system resources as Windows, so in a weird way, you get more out of it even though the stats are pretty much the same. That and the monitors are definitely better
Re: it's here well not quite
You're right. I misread Nunchincha's post (wasn't he banned?), thinking he was saying Macs were cheaper.

Re: it's here well not quite
Amen, too basic. And slow too! I know it loads pages "faster", but I don't like the way it loads them. It's not as smooth as FF.Darkwing wrote:I find Chrome very slow. I personally don't like Chrome, just feels too basic to me that and it's really slow

I had problems with multiple profiles in FF in the past. I don't know if it's fixed yet, but if not, don't open two instances of the program on different profiles at the same time.
Re: it's here well not quite
I found Chrome loaded pages slowly as well. Was approx 10 seconds on Chrome whereas FF loaded pages in about 4
