Earl
Well, Hurricane Earl is upon us and it is definitely getting noticeably worse out there. Where I live is supposed to only get a tropical storm, just the outer rim of Earl, but the South Shore and City are all being pounded from what I hear. Anyways, a bunch of places are without power so I wouldn't be surprised if we lose power here soon too.
Re: Earl
I've escaped it cause I've been down in Florida while it caused havoc on the east coast. The irony in that sentence is unbelievable, I know.

Re: Earl
well, it wasn't that bad, just some rain and wind for a short bit. funny thing is i live a bit more inland right, well like every town and everything around where I live lost power, except us
Re: Earl
I live on the other side of the Appilation Mountains, so i am fine, i am gettign the after rain and stuff though, what managed to make its way over the mountain is just hitting now.
Ahh, i love living in Pittsburgh, there are so many hills, so we dont need to worry about tornados, we are far enough inland that Hurricans dont hit, rain storms are hard, but not bad, earth quakes are minimal, yeah, its great here. oh and since we live on a hill kinda, no fleeds can reall get to us.......though the house next door is abandoned and might fall onto our house.......lol.....but you know..........yeah..........anyway, we do live on a natural water spring or something, so it might flood, but yeah, lol. (knock on wood)

Re: Earl
we don't get tornadoes here either and usually we don't get full hurricanes, just tropical storms as the hurricane disintegrates. Even Earl here was just some rain and wind and nothing much out of the ordinary, at least for us anyways
Re: Earl
We never have any hurricanes or anything worse than slightly strong winds. We did have one a few years back, but it just knocked over some trees and went ''Fuck it... This is boring... I'll go somewhere else''

Re: Earl
just because you have hills doesn't mean you are not going to get a tornado. I live in a city build in a Vally with 1 half surrounded by a cliff system and another half surrounded by the Rocky mountains. Its defiantly not smooth terrain. we just go hit by a tornado that destroyed our biggest building complex in the city. The complex was also the emergency evacuation site for the whole city.

Re: Earl
not necessarily. there are definitely a lot of storm pics that I thought were photoshopped, but weren't. some of these storm photographers are very good
