Driving Empty Driving

Anybody here able to drive a car? How many of you like it, cause I'm on to my third lesson here next week and so far I hate driving, I just really don't like it at all and kinda wish it wasn't a necessary "staple" of society, or at least western society

why dont you like it? i never hated it, and after i was driving on my own for a week i didnt even have to think about it anymore, sorta like walking.
it helps that i havent crashed yet, but i actually enjoy it.
i bought a cord so i can play my mp3 player while driving, and its really relaxing.

also, are you required to take classes in order to drive? i only had to pass a driving test and a eye exam, and driver's ed is optional.

no, it's just classes make life easier, give you more chance of passing the driving test and can save you up to 500 dollars a year on insurance. I don't like driving mostly because I'm afraid that either someone else is gonna kill me or that I am. I don't like the massive amounts of concentration required to drive and I'm very edgy and nervous every time I drive. The smallest thing frightens me

heh, like i said, do it enough and you dont even have to concentrate.

at least you're out of school and dont have a bunch of retards going 0-50 in a crowded parking lot every day.

well I still just don't like it. I prefer not to drive. Just wish it wasn't an hour walk from town (if I walk very briskly that is)

Driving's awesome dude. Went 90 on the highway today. Unfortunately I cut off a few people and they started following me, but hey, pissing people off that tailgate you is awesome.

That's how it is at first. After a while you get used to it though. It become 2nd nature, and you barely have to think about it.

Depends on if you drive a lot. Me, I don't like it so I avoid doing it. Plus, the only time I go anywhere is to go to work.

ok so i saw a bunch of idiots who dont know the basic rules of driving.

Pop quiz DW, if you can get this right you are a better driver than 90% of the people i saw today. so the question is:

What do you do if you see an ambulance speeding down the road behind you with its sirens blaring while blasting its horn?

The answer is: PULL YOUR ASS OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.

i mean jesus, i saw the ambulance come to a complete stop because people today are so clueless. If i were the person who called 911 id be pretty pissed off at those people. im sure you can get arrested or heavily fined for not doing that, i shoulda got those people's plate numbers.

Same here, but in big cities people usually just keep moving like no one is behind them.

Well that's stupid. But here people will pass you on the right (it's a single standard two lane road, one lane goes one direction, the other lane goes in the opposite direction)
