The Council/Changes

As you've probably noticed, a bunch of new boards have appeared and some old ones disappeared. One of the more important changes is the addition of the Council. So what is the council you might ask? Well, the council is a group of 5 people made up of the staff plus 2 elected members of the forum. The council will represent the forum population in matters that would effect the entire forum. So instead of having a forum-wide vote which has generally proven unproductive, now the council would do the voting.

To avoid people electing people based on how funny they are or how popular they are, the staff will nominate 3 people. Should those people accept the nomination, there will be a forum wide vote to choose the best 2 members to represent the forum. Every 6 months we will hold a set of re-elections and nominations. The council acts as sort of the voice of the forum, bridging the gap between user and staff. If you have concerns and things, you can now also approach members of the council for them to be discussed. All proceedings of the council are visible to the members of the forum.

ah, good idea. also, the long rp is gone, does this mean we wont have one?

I think it is going to be decided by the council we do need a new RP

we'll have a new RP if a good idea comes across my desk either by myself or someone else. No point in using up space for something we have no clue what to use it for
