Toa, are you going to use the stuff you produced when first working on Red Squad?

Yes, Im going to try to incorporate everything when I first started on the project, so that there's no continuity errors and whatnot. I'll admit, I actually envisioned this as a simple animation thing to busy my empty mind at first, without worrying about story and all that stuff, but over the past year I'd say the project has improved alot, not just in the animation, but after working with Darkwing on ELZ, my storytelling has also (hopefully) improved.

3ds Max and a pinch of After Effects. Quite an awesome combo, though I dont use After FX as much as 3ds Max.

OK, so I have a confirmed release date for this project, April 15th is what Im aiming for right now. At any rate, here's a quick little taste of it

Well there models made for a game, not Animation.

As real life is really bogging me down, Ive been considering pushing back the release date some. There is still a lot of work for me left to do on this and I havent had much time to do it.

I do promise to keep working at this whenever I can, but it may take a little while longer than I expected. In the meantime though, here's a new poster to keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

Y'know, I would scale it back some. You have 2 thirds of it done already really, and a year's production time is a hefty time for a single episode of this.

So yeah, just sayin, you may want to pull it back, find a way to wrap it up with what you have

Yea, Ive been thinking either that or cut corners with this episode, but either way I would like to get this done by the release date, so I probably will end up scaling it back some.

Hey wow, Red Squad is two years old as of March 1st, at least according to the date that episode 1 was uploaded to youtube

Figured I post this here as well, this is the basic body before rigging. The head is only a placeholder and I'm gonna use better hands, cause these ones suck!

So good news and bad news time! The good news is, I've been doing a lot of thinking while I've been producing this episode, and since the first episode was in such terrible quality and since some of our viewers seem to be unable to see it, I have decided to pursue a "re-envisioning" of Episode 1: Incursion at Sagan, with better animation techniques, better storytelling, and all around better quality. I am unsure as to when this will be completed, as I still have a lot of work to do on Episode 4 as well as still finalizing everything on Episode 3, but I am hoping to work on this whenever I seem to have a free moment.

The bad news: due to time constraints, character animation for Episode 3 has been canceled, however, Darkwing and I are hoping to save this for Episode 4, to send the series out in a "blaze of glory," if you will. However, voice overs will still be included.

On that note, I have only received VO's from a few people, so if youre still interested, please send me an audition ASAP. Again, the VO deadline is March 30th.

Oh, on that note, I want to talk something over with your regarding Episode 4 sometime in the near future

You can actually do one with JavaScript/JQuery... But I guess flash would be better for the forum...

Well I dunno why he's suddenly confused, red has always been the symbol of announcements since 2007 and he never had a problem before

I saw the legend showing blue as new, grey as OK, and red as dead. I happened to only be looking at the legend for forums, not threads.

Oh wow, I love the timer!

I am pleased to announce that unless Krunchy comes on and makes any last minute changes, Episode 3 is now complete and will be exporting overnight, assuming there's enough HDD space left on my computer!

There are in fact a few changes I need to make. But I will release Part 1 tomorrow, part 2 on Saturday (possibly earlier), and part 3 on Sunday. Trust me. These last minute changes will be worth waiting for. So I suggest everyone stock up on popcorn and have a good supply of it for the weekend, because this is going to be my most epic release ever.
