Not the Destination...
So yesterday my friend and I went on this hike and I slid down a rockslide (which was scary as crap considering EVERY rock I tried to grab onto while sliding down was loose). And afterwards, he and I got into this discussion. It was about how we have to constantly know exactly where we are, instead of enjoying the beauty of nature and just having fun getting lost in it. If theres one thing Ive noticed, there are a lot of people I know (myself included) that rarely just take in what nature has to offer. So I decided to take his advice and while taking the trail on the way home, I noticed, when you do actually take in what is around you, you can find it to be quite beautiful...except the damn bugs that keep flying in your face.

Most people with that view die on mountains.
I live looking around me when I walk, heck, that's the point of it. But I'm not going to throw a map away.

Yay for lying in a copse deep in the forest, rotting because you didn't bring a map and got lost! Or at the foot of a mountain with about a hundred or two broken bones.

See, both of us live in remote places where people go for walks and never come back.

I'm sure if i went to canning that there's the potential that they might eat me (you can never trust a canning person, too much inbreeding going on there)
Re: Not the Destination...
Is this salmon canning? Or is there a place named after the act of salmon canning?

Re: Not the Destination...
no, it's a small village about 10 minutes north of where I live and it's called Canning. Unfortunately the majority of valley folk come from there, so it might explain why most of us are so queer (I'm from Kentville BTW, so I'm safe)
Re: Not the Destination...
Don't worry, I think I live in a place like Canning.

Luckily, my parents are 'outsiders'. They moved in over 20 years ago and are not proper locals. Also, they are Hill Radnors, not Lleyns.

He was the product of a union between a shemale and a goat and a lamb. Try to imagine that.
