Revolution!

In the year of 2155, an elite force known as the BSES (Black Star Elite Squad) was assembled and charged with the task of destroying a revolution based splinter government known as the New Order. The New Order was a chaotic mess until the rise of a mysterious figure known as Delta Van Toren. Van Toren brought stability and balance to the New Order, but posed a threat to the BSES. The BSES troops aboard the Nightcrawler were then re-assigned to hunt down and eliminate Van Toren. They succeeded in capturing him, but his capture was not a victory. It was all part of the plan. While Van Toren was captured, the rest of the New Order now under the temporary command of Severus bought time as it collected a mass arsenal of weapons. When the time was right, Van Toren escaped and disappeared into the shadows. After the escape of Van Toren, the crew of the Nightcrawler was disassembled and their commander, Michael Bayhes was tried for neglect of duty and consequently treason, for letting one of the most dangerous people alive, to escape. While en route to a maximum security prison planet, Van Toren and the New Order struck. Their primary target was the remains of Earth and the current government's headquarters. All of the primary leaders of the government were killed and a large portion of he defense fleets were destroyed. With them scattered about, Van Toren stepped up and declared himself as leader of the people. With no other options present, the people surrendered to Van Toren. While the chaos was ensuing, Michael Bayhes convinced his guards to turn the ship around and let Bayhes go free, as he was the only one with the knowledge and expertise to take Van Toren down.
Bayhes managed to get into the high capitol of the New Order, but before he had the chance to take Van Toren down, was intercepted by Severus who had been watching Bayhes ever since he entered the Capitol. A fight ensued and Bayhes was critically injured. Severus left Bayhes to die. It is uncertain as to what happened to Bayhes after that point.

Ten years have passed and the New Order has gained considerable strength. Over the course of those ten years, small governments based off of the old government have attempted to regain power, but to no avail. Without warning, news came one day of the death of Van Toren. There was no funeral and no witnesses. Severus stepped into place as the leader of the New Order. Things became strict. Death penalties to anyone who crossed him, complete power was directed to Severus who now had supreme control over the military. It is now a time of fear. Rumours became present that it was Severus that killed Van Toren, but another rumour arose, saying that Van Toren wasn't killed, but banished. Truth is unknown, the only truth is the way of Severus.

But in the shadows there is light. A secret movement, a collection of people, headed by the remaining members of the BSES. Secrecy and cunning is their key, the key which could save mankind.
